I though Krys was gone .?? - oldduffman
Krys is still in the system. Maybe you're thinking of Shea? He's the one who decided to jump ship after finishing 4 years at Northeastern.
Not that it was between these two but would much rather have Krys over Shea by a country mile.
If he continues his development trajectory in Rockford, Krys could stand to be a reliable 4/5/6 defender who can eat minutes, carry the mail, make solid breakout passes, and defend well with gap control and battling down low. |

Can't do it.
They have contracts with broadcasters they have to honour.

While I would love to see Carlsson ahead of Koekkoek, not sure if Colliton would see it that way. We shall see and would be very cool if that happened!
Future playoff D pairs, though, could very well be:
Keith - Boqvist
Beaudin - Murphy
Carlsson - Mitchell
Seabrook - AEL_Fox
This is bonus time in reality. A great opportunity to get the futures some experience. It is my opinion that Colliton would be doing a disservice to the organization if he passed on this chance to give the young players experience.
Yes, try to win but I really feel guys like Carlsson and Hagel give them a better chance of doing just that. Heck, I left Maatta in there and I almost would rather see Beaudin in his spot especially if de Haan is able to go. |

Not to mention it would be terrible PR given that timing. |

Why can’t Mitchell play? - SimpleJack
His contract starts next season. Which is better for the Hawks and his long term prospects. They have no reason to rush him. If he needs a full season in Rockford, so be it. His contract is for 3 years. |

NHL stipulated that ELCs signed during the pause begin next season. |

The way I see it, if Koekkoek and Seeler are on the big club, then having McCoshen as a practice squad member isn't a big deal. Much rather McCoshen than say Osipov or Brennan. He may even have seniority over at least Krys.
Koekkoek, Seeler, and McCoshen are still raw around the edges but give an honest effort, play physical, and skate at least average.
Then again, I'd rather have Tuulola as a Black Ace than McCoshen. Tuulola has grown quite a bit since last season. Prototypical stay-at-home defender with a nasty streak.
Both McCoshen and Tuulola are RFAs. McCoshen likely seeks a better opportunity elsewhere but wouldn't mind re-signing Tuulola especially with Shea deciding to become an NCAA free agent. - AEL_Fox
The problem is those 3 you mentioned are 23-25 and pretty much what they are. Honest effort is fine and all but the Hawks need talent. Those 3 at best are 6-7 D-men. McCoshen is AHL level.

Anybody heard how the NHL Center Ice package will work when they start this 24 team playoff format? In past years the playoff games were on all the NBC owned networks, i.e. NBCSports, CNBC, USA etc.
Maybe the 1st round games will be on Center Ice, than when 16 teams remain the playoff game go to the various above channels? |

I guess Cuomo has Killed enough seniors in nursing homes so he is ready allow professional athletes to resume playing
Since professional athletes playing a sport are not over 70 years old there really isnt any more risk to them dying than there is from a car crash - molly2522
I feel so much smarter now

NASCAR audience is bigger than hockey. At one time it was the biggest audience of all sports. - rpeters01
NASCAR is huge in the southern states, but not so much up north. I’d much rather watch hockey than seeing cars go around and around. |

Enjoy your insight elbow. Most of these writers have mitchel way ahead of his time and putting him in Chicago's lineup next year. The other bit of information I've read is beaudin seems to be struggling . |

I agree with your point of view watching hockey over nascar. However nascar crowds are filled with lots of pretty woman and a fun overall crowd . |

Wow such a horrible statement to stereotype people. Nascar fans just like hockey fans are mostly blue collar workers. Unlike basketball which is filled with uppity snobs and corporate douches.

Yes they have huge crowds surpassing 60k plus thousand and it takes a lot of mental and physical for these drivers to maintain awareness , fast motor skills physically to drive those cars at those speeds for a few hours . That's 1 sport where you can easily get killed or seriously injured for life .
I agree it's not a sport I watch , but I do respect 5he sport and its fans. |

I agree that the games would cater to the more offensively gifted team after such a long layoff. May work to the Hawks' advantage. Even though we have all been going through hockey withdrawal for the past 2+ months, I still wonder if it wouldn't be better to stick a fork in the season and come back at the normal time for next season under better circumstances. Sure, no Stanley Cup champion for 2020, just like 1919, but then only one season would be affected by all this. |

I agree with your point if you look at the states opening their all Republican run and the states who have. Decided to keep these unconstitutional lockdowns going are run by Democrats.
Until the us supreme court steps in and lifts these lockdowns you won't see any sports for awhile.
I'm all for safety but my freedom and liberty are my choice not some governors if people d9nt want to go outside or to work that's their choice but the beauty of freedom is to have a choice. |
