The part that I will bring up about the no fans is , that sport venues will not allow fans in to protect them because of large numbers gathering will increase the odds of spreading the virus. The fans say thank you very much and stay away but instead go to Wreck Beach 20 000 Kits Beach 20 000 and English Bay 10 000.
I heard within hours of the park boards opening on Monday reservations were sold out in hours. |

i disagree
if fans are as hungry for sports as they say, why would they flock to the beach instead of being glued to their couch to watch the game they say they miss? I could see an increase in pubs or sports bars with televised sports coming back, but i don't see how the beaches or parks will be effected with not being able to go to the sports venue.
And if you saying that fans will respond to not being able to go to the game BY going to the beach, well that is the weirdest "f*ck you" and retaliation that i have ever heard of lol |

Did you see the pictures over the weekend of beaches and parks? They were packed and no social distancing. What is the difference of a person catching the virus at an arena or a pub? |

I haven't, I deleted all my social media accounts about 2 months ago and stay off the news, so I truly am not aware.
BTW - added a 2nd part after reading your post over again and added a small blurb.
And to your second point, there is no difference except for likelihood. We all know that community transfer is the easiest way to infect, so a pub who has restrictions on its total occupancy at one time VS a stadium with 18-25 thousand seats poses a much much lesser risk of community spread. |

Not sure how you can compare camping in a provincial park to attending a sporting event in an arena. |

Here is a picture of a small beach in Indiana this weekend
My point is what sense does it make for a person to go to any one of Vancouver's beaches on any given day with thousands of other beach goers and then turn around and say I don't want to go to see the WhiteCaps because of social distancing? |

there is no zero "sense" or "common sense" among people who are flocking to any beach or establishment that can't accommodate proper social distancing anyway, so you are asking the wrong guy lol. |

I guess as long as one of your six buddies you are camping with today wasn't at the beach with other people who may have contacted the virus? Don't some parks have public washrooms and public pools and beach areas? |

This is my point how long will sports teams protect idiots that 4 hours earlier were sitting with a thousand other people somewhere else. |

In the restaurant biz, we have to sanitize our public washrooms every 15 minutes. I am guessing public parks are either closing the restrooms or doing something similar cleaning wise. |

I can't really see a camping park closing its sh1tters to a group of people who have over ate and over drank the night before.
That may also work for bigger companies but what about the people who go eat at a 6 person crew . Do you really want the guy doing the cooking or cleaning plates in the washroom scrubbing every 15 minutes? |

Benning: We have a hockey ops call today at 1pm. As far a Judd (Brackett's) personal position - I don't comment on negotiations when we're signing players, and I'm not going to do it with a staff member

Jim Benning's understanding is that the first-round pick the #Canucks owe to the New Jersey Devils to complete the J.T. Miller trade will be determined by the outcome of their qualifying round series.
He indicated that he'd confirm that fact with the NHL shortly.

Jim Benning notes that the #Canucks can't mandate players to return to Vancouver immediately, but players won't be able to get to the rink upon return until they observe the 14 day quarantine.
Benning: We get to now play out the year and see where we end up, and continue to evaluate some of our players. I'd like to try to recover some draft picks we don't have. If we're a playoff team, we don't have a 1st or 2nd round pick.
Jim Benning says Josh Leivo and Micheal Ferland are both still working through physical therapy. Says he's had good reports, but they won't know if either player will be available for the play-in round until closer to the time.
Jim Benning admits that the 14 day quarantine is a concern for getting their players back into the country, but then having them forced to stay home for two weeks immediately prior to a grueling training camp. Admits that the #Canucks are considering holding their camp in the USA |

What I’m saying is businesses are having to adapt. If you can’t make your business viable while adhering to the new standards, then you stay closed. If the provincial parks can’t afford to have someone responsible for cleaning the public spaces... |

I know but the fact is you can not cover all bases. You guys clean the washrooms every 15 minutes . Does the guy cleaning them use a hazmat suit? After he finish sanitizing the washrooms does he get sprayed down also before he resumes his/her regular duties? What about staff changing rooms and staff washrooms are they also cleaned every hour?
I eat today at your place which is clean and tomorrow I use Subways facilities that haven't been cleaned in 3 days. |

Now you are being ridiculous. And the answer to your question is yes, every surface that is commonly used gets sanitized/disinfected at the least every hour. We’re paying someone to do this specifically. It’s a change we have had to make in order to reopen. It’s done to create confidence with consumers, to protect customers and employees. If Subway can’t conform, they should be shut down, which the health authority and worksafe BC will be doing when they do spot visits. Apologies to any subway franchisees, it’s not my example.
To be honest, I’m more worried about customers bringing the virus here than I am about us spreading it. |
