The people you talked to aren't American, they don't live in that state or in that city. The entire incident didn't start when that video started. It's a cop. There's always going to be benefit of the doubt on their side of the story because of their job and they're always going to protect their own law enforcement. Sounds to me like he took the advice given to him by people he "knows" and "respects" to come to his answer, while not taking the advice of a stranger from a message board that is usually spewing his BS opinions that nobody else agrees with.

seems perfectly reasonable that there is another approach on a group that is protesting in a peaceful way (taking away the guns - I take that as 'this is the US') vs people burning down their city, stealing, rioting..
p.s. we all agree that Trump is a bafoon - but you cannot just simply ridicule every little thing he says/does, I definitely don't think this 'tale of two twitter-posts' is so strange. - MaximusAurelius
