I understand what you say about the main point of my comment, however the coverage and what we see is focused on the bad part of the protests. Maybe the media needs to look at how they cover this and adjust? Truly they are what gets out to the most Americans, but they want to sensationalize everything.

What Kapernick did was was more what i am talking about.. But while kneeling at a football game got things started i don't know that it was the right forum to do it. But it got people talking but did nothing in the end.

but i also have a handful of friends (4) who are cops that have straight up told me they feel like cops would only “rat out” others in extreme circumstances bc of the culture that exists “in the room” so to speak, and even then they’d fear being shunned & called a rat
And 2 of them have straight up said they witnessed things they thought were questionable,
but didn’t say anything & gave their “coworker” the benefit of the doubt in the situation

Gardner was 6 years ago and over TWO BILLION calls for service later. Do you know how statistically rare that is??? Yes there have been a few others during that time. They all get huge media coverage making it seem widespread when it is such a low amount of calls. The reason the media (a business) does?? Look how riled up it got this country.

Hold police accountable. Fire them. Cops themselves want that. Liberal administrators, politicians and unions don’t allow that to happen. The same groups people on here love to support.

They survived thank god. There is a video of a visibly shaken police chief talking about it. But you will never see that on the MSM. Like with the virus that became more about politics after about a month it’s not even about racial equality anymore. These lunatics won’t listen to anything. It’s becoming a battle of the people that think this is the greatest country in the world vs. the people who absolutely despise everything about this country.

If the issue was so important to Kaepernick, then why did he wait to start his silent protest until he got benched? And when he went back in as a starter he was 1-10 (2-6 the previous season.) Could have been blackballed, but perhaps teams thought that he lost his focus on football and his performance reflected that.
