Did I just hear Poloncarz just put a curfew on Buffalo, Lackawanna, Amherst, Cheektowaga, and Tonawanda only?
He does realize the looters will just go to where there is no curfew?
That idiot is going to get people killed and a lot of them......... - dadeadhead

Lost in all of this conversation: where is the Corona Fear Porn brigade renting its garments, wailing and gnashing its teeth because tens of thousands of protesters are marching shoulder-to-shoulder like they did when people were congregating on the beaches last week? |

Oh really...
NO ONE is talking about the looting & rioting?
Seriously???
The 2nd part that’s bolded seems like a reasonable point - jdfitz77
I think the part you're objecting to is referring to the part you find reasonable. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, the spacing used throws it off |

I don’t feel it does.
Curfew all of Erie County.
All putting a curfew on select areas is going to do is force the looters out to the suburbs.
Unfortunately I feel many lives will be lost on all sides if that happens. |

Or when people wanted to go to Church. Or were protesting to just be able to re-open their business using the same guidance that places like Lowe's and Home Depot did. The regular media gaslights everyone. Social media enhances the effect. I saw a Twitter video where a cop pulls out a gun and points at a crowd. I initially was shocked that anyone would do that. Then I saw the WHOLE VIDEO where some dude comes up to the cops supervisor and smashes a brick directly into his head. First video had 27k comments, the second video with context had 5k. People are entirely too willing to react without facts. I have friends that are STILL terrified to go outside because of the virus. Hunkering in fear and paranoia. It is literally insane. |

Except they don’t JFitz. The numbers do not support that. A couple times a year over a half of billion calls is not wide spread. A .00000005% of all calls police go on result in unjustified deaths. just because your emotion or thinking it happens all the time does not make it true. Eric Gardner was 6 years ago. That does not equate to widespread. There will always be instances of unlawfully use of force due to the nature of the job and situations cops and criminals are put in. No amount of training will lead to 100% accuracy.
Facts do not back up any argument that it is widespread. It is all media driven hate and fear. Until people acknowledge facts and the real numbers there cannot be a rational conversation.
Answered your second part already . If your friends are witnessing crimes and not reporting it they are criminals. And you should be telling on them. Also higher ups in police departments are politically appointed positions. All these big city killings are in democratic run cesspools. - Fattony1187
So much i disagree with above,
but no point running in circles further
I think u kind of brushed off the 2nd part of my post from before
Your basic answer seemed to be,
“Meh, human nature”
Internal affairs is responsible for investigation these 5% of questionable instances correct?
Are they not cops, or are they appointed?
And a lot of ppl wanna know why the 3 who watched haven’t been charged with anything...
any ideas why?
Are they not culpable as well? |

So far, I only see the Buffalo News saying that the Mayor mandated an 8pm curfew in the city for the rest of the week. Where are you seeing Poloncarz's mandate?

Al Sharpton "The worse part is that some of the stores being looted are owned by blacks."
Really, that's the worse part about it?
Also Al Sharpton:
In August 1991, after an automobile accident involving the motorcade of a Hasidic rabbi accidentally killed a black child, riots broke out in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
“Hitler did not do the job,” Mr. Sharpton let loose with a eulogy blaming “the diamond merchants right here in Crown Heights,” and insisted that “the issue is not anti-Semitism; the issue is apartheid.”
“All we want to say is what Jesus said: If you offend one of these little ones, you got to pay for it. No compromise, no meetings, no kaffeeklatsch, no skinnin’ and grinnin’. Pay for your deeds.”
Within hours of the accident, 20 young black men surrounded Yankel Rosenbaum, a 29-year-old Australian yeshiva student visiting the United States to conduct research for his doctorate. They stabbed him several times in the back and beat him. He subsequently died of his injuries.
The rioting continued for three days, leaving 152 police officers and 38 civilians injured.
And a few years later,
“We’re going to burn and loot the Jews.” At one point Mr. Sharpton told protesters, “We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.”
Then, on Dec. 8, 1995, a protester named Roland J. Smith Jr. entered Mr. Harari’s store, told all the black customers to leave, shot several remaining customers and set the store on fire.
Perhaps the Left need to find a better spokesperson to represent the black community. |

Gerbe didn't just say more training. He wanted more training and to limit their ability to use a gun. That will absolutely lead to an increase in violent crime. - buffalofan19
He roughly said they should be trained to maim & not kill
Earlier, i believe fattony said that this was the case
Now you’re saying more training on that would lead to increased violent crime
If fattony is saying they’re already being trained that way, then how is more of the training they’re already doing going to increase violent crime?
That doesn’t compute |

Not white? They were fired and I'm sure that they will face some sort of charges, however it's really important to charge them correctly or else an attorney can easily get them off. |

I am curious - what do you do that you are all high and mighty about others? What I can ascertain is you live off your parents, travel when it suits you, are unable to put coherent, multi-sentence posts together and are critical of things you know nothing about.
What do you do that gave you this all knowing, all seeing knowledge. I know you are not the 3ER.
I would not even suggest that you read more, post less. I suggest you just think some. - TC4145

Why does that take more time then it did to change the first guy?
Is there new evidence coming in?
I’d think they’d have collected all the evidence before they charged the first guy... right? |

He said they should be trained to not use a gun, and that they should be able to disarm a criminal without one. Like dd said earlier, he's suggesting police be trained to bring a knife to a gun fight. If that's the standard, and the public knows it, that will absolutely lead to an increase in violent crime because the criminal knows the system has basically tied the police's hands. |

Where the hell did i say that?
I said more training would not cause criminals to be emboldened to commit more violent crime
And the more training was to shoot to maim & not kill
Idk wtf you’re talking about dude
Never did i even remotely allude to Cops being unarmed
Of course that’s dumb - jdfitz77
This started with Gerbe implying the cops should be better trained and they won't need guns. Something like if they were better trained they could disarm a guy armed with a knife w/out shooting him. You kinda jumped in to reply about giant leaps w/out being aware of that.

the cop was wrong, I said that many times, so has pretty much everyone else
this does not give people a right to kill cops, destroy businesses
even if it's a peaceful protest, once curfew is in effect, go home and obey the local law
it's pretty simple, yet nobody wants to talk about it
the solution, allow peaceful protests from sun up until sun down, then when the crazies are out, enforce the curfew
our country would then come together instead of staying divided - homiedclown
Clearly that’s not what the governors and mayors want. And it’s all Orange mans fault (some how) and he is the fascist for wanting to bring in the military to do what the governors and mayors won’t... I’m fine with the protests. But a week of destruction and more senseless death is enough!
Also, I want to know who’s staging the bricks and materials around cities for these “protests”... who’s funding it and who’s coordinating it. Those duckers should be brought to justice with the book thrown at them.
