No, I was taught growing up just like everyone else, when the Anthem plays you stand and put your hand over your heart, or you turn towards the flag and Salute. - Buff36
If I was I black why the hell would i put my hand over my heart when I don't have the same rights ...
That's why the black community wants justice for all..
Is this verified? Body cam would have it. If it is that would show why he was kneeling on his head/neck area (to prevent spitting). His intent goes from murder to saving his life (liberals have been saying covid is a deadly disease for months and is a death sentence if you catch it. Good chance his lawyers will be able to swing a jury.
Also so there is no confusion, that cop will still be a scum and needs to spend some time in jail on a lesser included offense - Fattony1187
My take on it and I think I am spot on because I watch a lot of TV is...
His intent was never to murder and you can't prove otherwise.
If you can't prove intent there goes Murder 1 and 2.
That leaves manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter
If Floyd had meth and fentynal in his system and suffered from heart disease then its safe to say that the actions of the police would not have killed Floyd except for these mitigating circumstances. The average person would not have died in this situation.
That leaves involuntary manslaughter which can be as little as probation.
Keep in mind Floyd was a criminal and a pandemic in which the disease can kill you is being spread around then the officer was looking out for his own safety by stopping Floyd from passing on the disease.
What about the 5 blacks that were executed over the weekend by looters?
Even know their names?
You only know the names of the ones the left wing media wants you to know.
Not one democrat, not one liberal is mourning the execution of 5 blacks over the weekend.
Black lives matter or only when they are in the news. - sabresfan69
I'm not going to change your mind and you won't change mine, I'm fairly certain
I'd like to see everyone act with a lot more understanding and compassion for their fellow man. I feel for the protesters and I feel for the good cops. I dislike the looters and i dislike the bad cops.
Dialogue is more important than partisan politics. I dont want militarized police executing people in the streets. I dont want jamokes fire bombing city hall

what is to change? 5 blacks were executed over the weekend and not one person on the left gives a poop.
You don't even know their names
You fight because the media tells you to fight. That is the truth.
You do not fight for the 5 executed blacks.
When people stand up for all people I will stand with them
Not just the ones that are trendy and in the news.
He looks just like my civics/AP gov teacher in high school.
My God, I hope we can all find our humanity. We are losing our way. Watching the cop try to check on him and be pulled away by another...
My sadness grows with each day of this - jcragcrumple
Absolutely. And this is an all around bad look for BPD and the city. The city originally issued a press release saying that the man tripped and fell. So either the people issuing the press release knew what happened and lied about it, or the cops lied about what happened to whomever they had to report the incident. Then the video came out.
The injured man is at ECMC in stable condition per Poloncarz.
Also, the BPD Alerts Twitter account has blocked Tim Graham. Gotta watch out for those sports journalists, I guess.

So we should be mad at all the people pissing on the walls, buying beer and just running about the stadium in the atriums as the anthem plays?
