Deaths in FL, GA, and TX are plateaued.
May 1st in NY there were 299 deaths, 64 on June 1st.
Florida: 46 on 5/1, 9 at the bottom of a trough, 90 the next day.
Texas: 34 on the downswing 50 the day before down to 17 by the 4th, 6 at the bottom of a trough on 6/1 up to 36 by the 3rd.
Georgia: 33 on 5/1 in the middle of going down to 5 by the 3rd, up to 64 on the 4th, and 24 on what appears to be another upswing on 6/4.
Plus just looking at the graphs over the last month there's not much improvement, lots of rollercoastering, but not a ton progress. Yes, the scale is higher for NY, but there's a definite decrease from a peak of 231 which was 30 days ago to a low of 42 which is the last day of the graph, 6/4. Florida had 69 on 5/8 and 70 on 6/2. Georgia was all over the place.
These are from Google, whose source is Wikipedia, I don't trust the states very much, Georgia already got caught manipulating their public graphs by moving dates around on the X-axis to make themselves look better.

What does all of that mean? (frank) if I know, but deaths seem to be a better indicator of what the virus is doing because there's one less variable, deaths are deaths, positive tests can be from a number of different things. - Wetbandit1
In short, numbers not worth shutting down an economy for, especially considering when it comes to covid deaths, comorbidities have been thrown out the window.

I would take the best player at 3. Whether that is Rossi, Raymond, or Stutzle take your guy - Pegullaville
But I believe we can get that player at 4,5,6
No?...
I'm greedy I would like an extra pick lol |

What excuse would the FED have then to pour trillions of stimulus into the economy if there was no shut down ?

edit: and it still doesn't change the question:
flag or constitution? - Michael Pachla
Both. Nobody says Kaepernick couldn't kneel, just that he shouldn't.
We have the right to do a lot of stupid things in this country. This is at the top of the list.

That stimulus is going to burn us sooner or later. The only question is which generation gets (frank)ed: our grandchildren or our great grandchildren.

that's not what the president said in response to him and others taking a knee:
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b!tch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired. He’s fired!’” |

I must have missed the part where he mandated that. He said that's what he would like to see, not that they had to do that.

Like what if we could of had the pick of Rossi/Raymond at 3 but then move back to 6 and end up with neither ?
Sure you probably get Perfetti or Holtz which may turn out to be better in the long run anyways (or perhaps one of those guys is the one they want at 3 regardless) but is it worth it ? |

You have a deranged way of fabricating things in an overly dramatical way to try and prove a point.
The challenge for you is to back the charges you're leveling against me with direct quotes and a link to said quotes to provide accuracy and the full context of the conversation. - Michael Pachla
And now meltdown mike is going to deny he said this 😂😂😂😂. Where do you think you got your nickname from? For saying that everyone was going to die and Trump should of had 40,000 ventilators in January.
Typical liberal on this page. Post outlandish comments months ago, get laughed at but get defended by your minions like JFitz.
Couple months later when facts come out you both pretend like you never said your totally ignorant and laughable comments. Its why you both have no credibility on this board. |

The frustrating part about all of this is that it's because our government, the President included, took model of a British Chicken Little as gospel. It was the same person that grossly overestimated the death effects of just about every disease in his career, from SARS to Mad Cow disease.

prove me wrong...you can't find the quotes, can you?...either that or you're unwilling to do the work...
if you can't or won't you're simply alex the propagandist or alex the lazy...
the challenge is there, prove me wrong |

Although I understand your point, all it takes is one though.
You never know which disease will finally be the one that does the deed and I believe it’s better to be over prepared then underprepared.
The threads don’t lie, I was one of the posters here saying that we should have had people working from home sooner and social distancing to flatten the curve.
I believe they should be re-opening now though to those who don’t have the option from working from home with safety measures in place.
For those that can work from home effectively, they should stay at home as it’s not detriment to their way of life. |

Not going to lie, the ability to roll right out of bed and start working is kind of nice. Fact of the matter, though, is, people like me who have that luxury are a minority. |

there were too many unknowns early on not to do something like that...even now when the threat is less, it's still highly transmissible, one person can spread it to many and the death rate is still hovering around 1,000/day in the U.S...and as far as anyone knows, it's not going away anytime soon |
