I dunno guys. I think we see some screwed up stuff happen with the Sabres now that Mr.Pegula stepped back.

"Dragon Lady" hired a crew to clean house with the Bills, you think she wouldn't do that same with the Sabres?

Uncle Terry is probably going to pass soon, anyway, and we will have her running this town.

I could see Eichel's demands being met with a trade out of town sooner rather than later if things completely fall off the rails this summer/next season.

What is best for the franchise as a whole? What would Eichel realistically fetch after demanding a trade and it becoming public? How about Seattle? Would Skinner waive to go to Seattle? If we get a compliance buyout, should it be used on Skinner instead of Okposo?

What to do with Ristolainen? If Eichel wants out, should we send them out together?

Eichel and Ristolainen to CGY for a 1st, Gaudreau and Monahan? Am I over/undervaluing anything here?

Think you should add Dillon Dube and Valimaki or Kylington to the return.

And even then, it's still not nearly enough for Eichel.

In a scenario where he demands out of town, we aren't going to get anywhere close to max value, guy. Hate to break it to you.

Would have added Pettersen and Pelletier but that's basically there whole prospect pool, at least the decent one's.

I guess this is the start of all the conspiracy theories. I know people would throw some out there here and there, but looks like it's time for everyone to throw their bullshìt ideas of what's happening behind the scenes. Hopefully a lot of you are in phase 2 and can stop these baseless posts next week and go back to work.

Then you don't trade him. Simple as that.

Not sure I'm a fan of this idea.

https://www.diebytheblade...__twitter_impression=true

Well, the reason is that I’ve heard from multiple team sources that the Sabres are quite interested in him and will try to convince the Sharks to consider a trade during the offseason. Part of their plan is to use their 2020 first-round pick to entice the Sharks, who as I mentioned, do not have a first-rounder this year at the top of the draft (have a late first from Tampa Bay). If the pick is not in the top three, the Sabres will look to use it as a trade chip.

I’d use the 2021 first but not the 2020 first. Which would most likely mean the Sharks passing on moving Hertl.

It’s tough trading a high end prospect for a guy who is a UFA in two years whom will garner a nice pay raise. Then on top of that the guy is coming off his knee exploding. Tough sell.

No way do I make that trade including this year's 1st. No way.

It’s a tough balancing act. We need to make the playoffs next year or else Eichel is gone (if he isn’t already trying to force his way out).

But on top of that you need to acquire talent that can win now.

Hertl is a fantastic hockey player but even making that next contract fit would be quite the circus act even if we overpay to get him.

Botts needs to do something though, what I’m not sure. There has to be some package of current roster players and prospects that can get us someone to play that 2C role. (Without giving up this years pick, unless that player is younger with RFA eligibility left and a bright future)

With the following framework:

Olofsson - Eichel - Reinhart
Skinner - -
Kahun - - Johansson
Asplund - Larsson - Okposo

Let's get nuts:

Olofsson - Eichel - Josh Anderson
Skinner - Roope Hintz - Craig Smith
Kahun - Soderberg - Johansson
Asplund - Larsson - Okposo

I can't get past the fact that the Sabres played their best stretch of hockey post Drury-Briere (January-April 2011) without him in the lineup and it wasn't even close. He "busted his ass" because he knew he was becoming irrelevant.

He was a good player, but did not make his teammates better. Same goes for Connolly.

Agree. I don’t see Cozens going back to Juniors and he can’t go to the Ahl. He will be a Sabre. I just don’t want him at 2c this year. Wing with some 3c here or there.

And sadly, you know botts will force feed us more weak mitts and sstt... so add that to the line up...

Edit: please change weak mitts. To soft mitts... may as well reflect the status of this team for the past 12-15 years.... “they ssssoooofffttt ... I never see a team so sooofffttt...”

Yep. Here comes all the "Eichel will demand a trade soon" BS. This is exactly how the ROR thing started. Ignorant fan pressure eventually lead to his BS ouster too. Look, I like being miserable with the best of them, but enough of this Eichel non-news crap already.

Can you blame him... multiple head coaches, a couple gm’s, a soft a$$ team and clueless owners and what’s gonna change in year 6 of jack? Maybe Kym should take notes, I’m guessing Jack might have more
Information than her or some fans...

Why do people write her name as 'Kym'?
