You think it is only one of out 100 that are working that hard on their own without asking for assistance from the government?

99 out of 100 are lazy?

Again, this issue, like so very many others, involves a great deal of nuance.

It is very easy to simply make overarching statements without looking into all the nuance to truly understand all that is going on.

I don’t consider them bad cops at the moment. Haven’t heard all the facts.

The asshead that killed him is a bad cop. 12 past violations. He shouldn’t have been a cop.

Totally agree.

People, as usual, will rush to judgment and go to extremes without taking time to think, understand, and learn. Happens with almost all topics.

I don’t feel like it is that cut and dry.

Is it difficult to get off of it once on it?

Yes and no.

The people that want to get off of it do. The ones that wanna just ride the system don’t.

Are there less that do that don’t? Yes, but I don’t feel it’s 1 out of a 100. Is it 10/15 out of a 100? Probably more likely.

I know several single mothers who had to go on welfare on one point or another, and they did so out of necessity.

They all hated it and got off of it as quickly as they possibly could.

Unfortunately that is where common sense comes in.

It is to few and far between.

I would need access to the department of labor and welfare's databases to be able to even begin to remotely assess what those numbers look like.

I am not going to even guess without that kind of access and understanding.

It's more than common sense.

It's completely opposite the immediacy of response culture we have cultivated the past half decade or more.

The ability to digest information, take a breath, research, and then respond in an articulate and informed fashion has almost completely gone away, which is a true shame.

I understand there is a clear difference between the protesters and the asshead rioters. (Yes some might be the same)

I understand why they are protesting.

We all like the videos of law enforcement laying down their weapons and marching with the protesters.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the protesters stand with law enforcement against the rioters?

How many likes would that get?

Just some food for thought.

I’m just saying that stating 1/100 is extreme.

10/15 out a 100 is more reasonable.

Would I be shocked if it was 35/100? No

Was just trying to be more reasonable.

I understand what he's trying to say, I think. I mean, as written it's a little ignorant, yes, but there are a lot of people in this country that absolutely abuse welfare and unemployment, and that needs to end. There are certainly people that need one or both. Key word, need.

But generalizing an entire demographic is, as you have mentioned, is short sighted. In my opinion.

you do know the radical organized "protestors" are putting pallets of bricks in the streets and dumpsters to throw at cops and buildings, right?

Like burning Botts at the Stake for not overpaying for a long term 2C because Cozens is a 19 year old kid and still developing ?

that is one out of 100 trying to make it on their own

those are the true working class people

under no circumstance do I lump them with the other 99.9 percent who are lazy

I mean to get unemployment, which you pay into

you have to provide places you apply each week to get job while you are getting that money

you get what 3 times more on welfare, and never have to look for a job

- homiedclown

I have some lower paying positions that I hire for. I often get people schedule an interview and never show up. But yeah they applied for the job. No one looks into it. I have even had people pull up in their car sit in the parking lot for 5 min then leave.

"Police officials later said Pederson had an alibi and that his whereabouts checked out for the time the incident occurred.

“We are aware of the social media post that erroneously identifies one of our officers as the person caught on video breaking windows in Minneapolis. We want to be perfectly clear about this: The person in the video is not our officer," the statement read."
