He's pissed at some of the things that have happened with upper management. But he’s just as pissed at certain players he thinks didn't give it there all. He doesn't want out, but he has made some demands, so upper management needs to pay attention or things could definitely change.

Curious who the slackers are.... and I hope the demands include a 2c that’s actually played center in the nhl at a successful level...

Wasn't told who, or what demands, just that Jack and Botts had a talk and certain things that were said.

Exit interviews. But Jack's the captain (and franchise player), his word holds the most weight. Botterill needs to do his (frank)ing job.

To what? The obvious tank "save attempt" on Kasparaitis? Or the fact we got dogpoop for one of the best goalies of all-time when he was still in his prime?
- Wetbandit1

There's no doubt Hasek made up his mind he was leaving Buffalo after that season. However, the notion that he tanked that series is some heavy-handed conspiracy theory that would make tinfoil hat collectors blush. To think he had the foresight to win a round, come back from down 2-0 in the next series, get to Game 7, and to overtime no less, just to stick it to the team at that moment ranks somewhere between "We didn't actually land on the moon" and "George W. Bush orchestrated 9/11".

I think adam Henrique is the answer at this point in time...$5.825M for the next four years might be high for the ducks as they're said to have been under an internal cap for at least a little while...even if there's a compliance buyout this off season, i'm not so sure the ducks would go for that as it's dead money...

Henrique's salary is a bit high and at 30 he ain't a spring chicken, however there's a consistency to his game while averaging somewhere around 20-22 goals/season and around 45 points...he's got playoff experience all the way to the Cup Finals in where he scored to goals against the Kings as a rookie in 2011...

Botts could wait for a potential buyout, or he could take the bull by the horns and, if the ducks really want to get out from under Henrique's salary, offer them a young player or two...mitts might be enticing for Anaheim in this scenario...

too much?...too little?...who knows...and Henrique has a modified NTC...would buffalo be on the 10-team no-trade list for the Brantford, Ontario native?...my bet is no and that he'd see it as a good opportunity

Gary Bettman is complete trash. Its absolutely ridiculous playoff teams are included in any lottery scenario. Once again the NHL proves its trash.

Big head has done an awesome job. Worst chances of winning the lottery and best winning percentage not in the playoffs.

Oh and keep drafting defense big head with late firsts/early seconds when offensive players are on the board. This franchise is a joke

They're not considering the teams that end up 17-24 as playoff teams. That first "series" is a hybrid end to the regular season. I don't see the issue.

You’d have to make nice nice with Pilut in that scenario. But I’m ok with that trade... Henrique can 2c for a year and then 2 or 3 c after that depending on the development of the 2 kids...

That mayor there might be worse in US. Invites race violence then tells police to abandon police station and let it get burned to the ground.

Of course. Cirelli and Point would top the list. However, i don't think Buffalo has a real chance of landing either.

Arthur Kaliyev, among others, sure would have been nice to have in the prospect pipeline right now, and it was said by many of us even at the time.
