My parents live in Florida (they also take government money) and were big Trumpers, right up until that stunt with the bible in front of St. John's.

Now, they reject him completely, as do many of their friends. The church is the center of their social life and carries incredible importance to a lot of them. It was an offensive episode to a lot of people.

No. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences for that speech.

When one mischaracterizes the reasons for or the actions of others, whether deliberately or through ignorance, the decent thing to do is apologize for doing so when one learns of one's error. I believe Drew Brees is a decent person. He made a mistake, and he owned it.

If they pull off this economic recovery sooner than expected than that will trump everything else IMO. Some sectors will take years to recover but if these temporary lost jobs continue to come back going into July and August then that’s a big win for the administration. So by debate time if the economy is on the up, what can Biden and the Democrats seriously run on? I want to raise your taxes? I want to raise corporate taxes to stall growth and hiring? I want to go back to giving China everything they want so they can take us over? I want to pick up where broken Obamacare left off? I’m absolutely cringing to see Biden in a debate.
