No this is about Racism. I not sure on all details but a white cop killed a black man with extreme measures .
Minny has had all kinds of huge fires and looting. Columbus Atlanta Louisville and a few others followed suit. Like the Rodney King situation.
Literally seconds ago they announced that they have arrested the cop. - VANTEL
Oh, I see, I have not turned on a TV in a long time, guess I should stay up on current events.
Thanks |

I feel like if we're going to give credit to Brackett- we first need to acknowledge that he has been with the organization since 2009. The reason I bring that up is we sucked at drafting then and in the last 4-5 years he's become a Savant? If we do that then we need to allow on the same token that after a mediocre start Benning has also steadily improved at his job as well. I kinda feel like they both were good fits for each other and the team and that's where the success has come from. I wish Judd well but I would be very surprised if a head scout is going to generate a tonne of interest"(the top free agent this summer could be Judd Brackett") regardless of what the Vancouver media wants us to believe. |

Reading between the lines, GMJB seems to be saying that Judd Brackett wanted total autonomy over the draft. Benning spoke about chain of command and not knowing of an organization where the Head of Amateur Scouting doesn't have to report to the GM or AGM. |

Man there had been a lot of mud slinging going on around this situation. People come and go from these organizations all the time. Why does there have to be so much drama when the Canucks are involved.
Anyway, glad it’s over. |

A lot of it has to do with the media and fans. It is ridiculous. |

One would ask why are we even privy to the internal going-ons? When someone leaves the organization you announce it. Before that happens, say nothing.
Fans and media react to what they are being told. They may overreact but they don’t create these situations. |

I always liked Brackett but the ink that this matter got was crazy. Like you said people come and go all the time. |

Carol gave me his contact info, a couple years ago, because I was asking about a CBA question, he got back to me right away and delivered the info the next morning.
He is 1 of the few that were respected, coming out of CA. |

I think players with family matters should attend to them. Family before hockey. I also don't think Benning wouldn't mind keeping this years first round pick. - VANTEL
You saying JB is fine losing the pick & have a 1st in 2021? |

I remember the Rodney King riots quite vividly.
Don't forget Kaepernick not working for 2 or 3 years now and still vilified for speaking out against police racism. - Marwood
Respectfully, the Kaepernick situation is a funny one. He's more of a 'disgruntled employee' than this cult hero protestor thing he has become. I'm not questioning Kaepernick's right to protest as many people died for those basic rights and freedoms. I'm questioning his methods of using his place of employment to push his agenda like many celebs do. I'm sure he was told by more than a few people 'if you do this, you may not play another game in the NFL'. But he did it anyways. So in hindsight he kind of got what he deserved other than the 'vilified' tag IMO just my take. Not sure about you but I personally can't use my place of employment to protest that moron Trudeau or my local MLA...I would literally be fired the next day. So I don't really have an issue with Kaepernick being blacklisted by the NFL when really, he brought it on himself. If he did it on his own time with his own money (nice Nike contract lol) then it's all good...say what you have to say. But using the NFL as his crutch to push his agenda I fully understand why the NFL wanted him out. And then a few years back he's tries to make a tryout comeback for NFL teams and made a mockery out of that. Again, if you don't think clearly before you act sometimes...you get what you get. And I say this respectfully to you with no hatred |

Nope. Another African-American who was killed by a white cop who kneeled on his neck for 8-9 minutes until the fellow was no longer able to breathe. All caught on video (of course). Rioting in about 10 cities acfoss the country with no signs of abating. Hence, some extra sensitivity to the racism that has been shared in here the past week. - Marwood
African-American is about as racist as it gets. Is an American not an American? That society is a hypocritical cesspool of dung. |
