People are irate, within 48 hours someone texted me his picture. - golfingsince
They should be. I hope he's looking for a new province to live in. He should lose his license. |

Sorry, so where do you get your information from? Do you personally experience everything? You simply believe these witnesses because that’s the narrative you choose to believe?
I never said I knew what happened, or believed what one person on the news said. What I did say is that police are responsible for the well being of the societies that they are sworn to protect. In this regard, they failed in their duty. As images from across the US these past days have shown, the police do a pretty fine job of stopping black women from climbing over a waist high barrier... |

I disagree. I don’t think drug addiction or mental health issues are criminal acts. To me they are public health issues that law enforcement have been forced to deal alone without proper training because of a lack of a better solution.
Ministry of Health in BC put together a really good study on the issue. It’s long but it does a really good job in detailing a solution that sees law enforcement working alongside of mental health professionals to ensure safety for all.

If the funding and training was available it would avoid situations like the one that happened in Ontario. - bloatedmosquito
A speeding ticket isn’t a criminal act and yet the police receive a significant portion of their revenue from traffic stops.
Though I agree, emergency personnel are probably under funded, under paid and lack necessary training in some cases. |

I watched Komo News last night from Seattle . Uncut live action.
As I said earlier I applaud people standing up for their rights and voicing their opinions. Most people were civil and made a powerful statement.
Then there is another group. I call them the idiots. They looted , they destroyed , they lit fires , and they threw objects at the police.
Around 9 pm the main crowd went home but the idiots stayed behind and were looking for nothing else but trouble. They were throwing bottles at the cops and looking for any reason at all to get a riot going.
These fuken morons are the reason for abuse . If the cameras were not on last night they would have been cracked over the head with a baton . Laws are made against these fuken idiots not because of good citizens.
It is unfortunate because most people are good and most cops are good . It is the few fuken idiots on both sides that makes everyone else have to get involved.
Right now everyone iis looking for a fight or arguement and it is sad because it is a small minority that have brought it to that. |

Here is the funny part. Yes emergency people are under funded. No doubt. After last nights looting and destruction the city will have even less funds for needing to pay all these people OT . Your insurance costs will go up and more traffic tickets to pay for the under funded Emergency People. The money needs to come from somewhere. |

Well your first problem is believing the news *apparently*
I agree, there is certainly a portion of society that doesn’t get it.
I said yesterday that things would escalate and Makita pooh-poohed me. There are several leaders in the black community who are trying to help create real change by organizing people. Social media is helping them do this. Their goal is mass protest, make those in charge realize there is a real social problem and acknowledge that something needs to be done. They want peaceful protest, they want voters to use their voice.
Unfortunately, the idiots can also read social media.

It’s all part of the plan by the League of Shadows. Ra’s al Ghul has done a masterful job thus far. |

I have said it a few times now since the beginning of the pandemic. This scares me more than the virus.
People right now are looking for a fight. It is is going to get worse and soon it is going to be bloody ugly.
Twitter is am ugly mess right now . Everything is becoming divided. Be careful out there.

I don’t agree with, or support the violence, destruction and looting, but I can appreciate how angry these people are and the feeling of power they get in the mob.
It is certainly frightening. |

But you have a smoker correct? That’s an adequate alternative to a bbq if you’re doing ribs or fish or pork. - bloatedmosquito
We have a Pit Barrel Smoker, a Bradley Smoker and we now have a Camp Chef Grille in our outdoor BBQ area. It's a counter area where the BBQ was inlaid into the counter, we removed it and replaced it with the grille. All angles covered. |
