I just wasn't sure cause rumors are Strome and DeAngelo want a big raise and they still have to fill out the bottom 6
- TPC

Strome should come in around $5.5 I would think. Big Strides but we're still talking about a 27 year old who has never scored 20 goals.

Tony could see a big, BIG increase though, yeah.

Worst case scenario PDG - Something - Gauthier makes a serviceable and super cheap 4th line.

Yea I really want to find a way to move on from Strome. Not sure what they would do at 2nd line center though. But I am excited to see the future of Gauthier. Could be a solid bottom 6 guy going forward

I'm still angry he's gone. Might be the first Rangers jersey I ever buy.

Keane DOES look really good though, at least.

Its funny how the Rangers were so week on D with no depth, that now they have enough assets to trade some D away.

Lol Sabres fans were PISSED.

Rumoured to be in on Haula: Goes to Canes
Rumoured to be in on Trocheck: Goes to Canes

Sign Skinner to massive contract, completely falls apart.

And after next year both Staal and Smith are gone. I can't remember the last time I have been so happy with the depth

Buffalo is just a straight up dumpster fire. Every time I think they will turn a corner they have an awful season.

Especially the right side which is the harder side to fill. Trouba, Fox, Tony, Lundkvist

I still really like Hajek too.

he's not gonna put up many points but he's steady and he's savvy enough to get the puck out of trouble.

MLB fighting over money

I think this one has been a long time coming. The PA hasn't been happy with the league/owners for a long time and they're going to flex their muscles now that they have some leverage

He was really good till he got his shoulder destroyed last year. This year he had some hiccups, but I agree. He looks like he could be solid

I admit to knowing nothing going on with baseball, but aren't MLB players the highest paid of all sports?

you guys are in good shape for next season anyway.

Only 5 RFA's

Strome
Lemieux
PDG
Deangelo
Georgiev

and you'll have $14 million in space even with a flat cap.

- BINGO!

I don't think this is correct. Can anyone else weigh in?
Pretty sure next year is going to be rather tough and then the following year we have that $14M or so coming off the books.

There's been a lot of obvious collusion among owners to keep free agent salaries down in recent years. Not to mention that minor leaguers pretty much make literal minimum wage.

I still strongly believe the owners and players union will have to agree to at least one if not two compliance buy-outs. Getting Hank and/or possibly Staal off our cap for next season will alleviate any problems for the Rangers...
