$83,500.00 to do what you love for 1/2 the year. Where can I sign up?
- mdw7413

Where are you getting that number?

The average salary for a minor league baseball player, whose contract is handled by Major League Baseball, ranged from around $6,000 in Single-A to around $9,350 in Double-A to nearly $15,000 in Triple-A in 2018, according to The Athletic. Those wages cover only the months of the regular season. Players are not paid during spring training or in fall leagues.

That seems very not correct. Maybe guys that stick in the minors their entire careers, get paid that. Kinda like the career AHL'ers that are making like 200k. But that's not the norm.

Kind of wish NHL would follow the NBA's target plan for ending this season and starting the 20-21 season

Right now NBA playoffs will end October 12th at the latest and they have a target date to start next season Dec 1st.

Not sure how realistic it is but just hope NHL doesn't take another 3 months off after finishing the playoffs

Column on that hopefully later

Bloodbath at The Athletic today, 46 people let go. Jets, Sabres and Panthers writers included in that list.

I still strongly believe the owners and players union will have to agree to at least one if not two compliance buy-outs. Getting Hank and/or possibly Staal off our cap for next season will alleviate any problems for the Rangers...
- TommyGTrain

No compliance buyouts please. Hard pass! Rangers can work around it. Other teams can't so I don't want to see them get a lifeline.
