Considering how bad he was playing. They should have let him take the time off to get fixed or whatever and gone with Johansson as the back up. Not like he would have done worse - IndianaSabresFan
This seems like an easy way to not change the goaltending.

Huts contract is up after next season, right? They need to explore new options, hopefully for next season |

Do you really look back at the season and wish JJ had played more? He didn't look like he belonged in the NHL.

It’s all I can think about. It was more about getting Hutton better. At times he didn’t look bad. But when he was bad he was horrible. If johannson came in and won or tied just a couple of the crap storm Hutton ended the season on we might still be playing when the season starts back up. |

Yep. This is where I'm at.
A goalie has a vision problem and you still give him starts ? What the hell is that ? That's like throwing a goalie in there who has vertigo issues. Just ... a STUPID decision to keep playing Hutton (or even dressing him) during the issue. |

He looked overwhelmed in the NHL, just don't see any reason to think he'd have been better. Hammond was supposed to be the #3. Probably would have helped more than JJ did.

Or the hamburgler. He did have that good run in Ottawa a few years ago. Either way I just think they fumbled that decision to start a guy who couldn’t track the puck right. That’s like 99% of the job. |

What's it like worrying about production in the playoffs, compared to worrying about making the playoffs or hell, just not being terrible in general. - kingcong39

One could say the decision to play a goalie with vision problems cost us the playoffs this year. |

Let's see where The Habs end up drafting.
If it remains close...oh well, missed opportunity.
If they draft in the teens, maybe we made out better for the long-term.
Honestly, I've had my fill of Sabres AHL hockey this season.
I want to see TO win the playin so they can't be a Lottery team...then get chased in Round 1 of the 16 Playoff teams. |

Well, I have been on the fence.
I have a shotgun for home defense.
I'll be buying a 9MM for personal protection and seek to get a concealed carry permit.

There is no way that will happen across the country. If Minneapolis moves forward and does that, it will be shown to the rest of the country why it was a horrible idea very quickly. |

I"m so tired of all the excuses these players make after we don't make it .. - gerbe75pts
I can’t see why someone playing with an injury is considered an excuse. How many times have you heard “we came out flat” or “ we got away from our system”. Those are facts that can be considered an excuse. A player who tries to play through an injury isn’t looking for anyone’s approval or trying to make an excuse. Sometimes players play through injuries because they have heart, passion for the game, and basically would try to play through anything. Jack Eichel was hurting like hell also but he played and isn’t looking for anyone’s sympathy but he wants to win. |

The speed with which NY has changed its laws in the past 4 months is disturbing to say the least.
The legislative process is supposed to take time. Its designed to prevent laws changing overnight in response to panic, anger, and hysteria. - feetontheair22
Most of these laws were under executive order of the Governor due to the Covid emergency powers he enacted. (which he also extended) I think the legislature should have the power to review his decisions and possibly revoke the executive powers he uses every 30 days or something. It wasn't designed for "long term" crisis |

Honest ? because I can't pull up the link for some reason, was he seeing these doctors on his own, does it say the Sabres new. Pretty stupid for the club not to have done something. That 13 game stretch really hurt. |
