Having said all that, I reminded myself that a take like that appeals to her audience which is conservative. Am also of the opinion that's she's an opportunist and very good at selling and defending her opinion. I firmly believe that she's smart enough, talented enough and crass enough to take any stance and convince an audience, her audience, that she's right.

At the end of the day, as a black woman, if she wants to take that stand it's her choice and the repercussions or plaudits are hers.

He went on for the remainder of his alotted time asking questions of others and never let her speak. She had to wait for the other Representative to get his speaking time and ask her if she had anything to say to Mr Lieu. That's underhanded bullpoop attempted by the gentleman from California. Apparently her video stuck in his head and in the heat of some moment, of which heated moments were said to happen often with him, he went off on Floyd, whom he called a "thug," and the protesters whom he called "idiots."

There's a lot to unpack and I'll need to do some research as to how and why Owens got involved. Thx for getting me to do some research on a subject I didn't know about.
