He's 4th on the LHD depth chart behind Rielly, Muzzin, and Sandin. He's not a natural RHD and his numbers are mediocre.

May not be a lock to be traded but I don't see why it would be very risky unless you think his ceiling is much higher than I do (I'm guessing that's the case).

If shipping Dermott out (as part of a package) for a solid, dependable first or second pair RHD is on the table, you do it and you don't look back.
