I know! Some of the Flames fans on Ek's blogs are throwing out (2) 1st's, Ty Smith and a roster player as a fari trage for JG. That is freaking absurd! We need depth at many positions not 1 star player.

Frankly, I'd keep the picks and try to sign Hall in free agency. He might come back as we could probably offer more in salary/term than most teams as the COVID effect on the cap may work to our favor. And it may likely be less $'S than what we originally offered him.

Considering our team is a complete mess it makes zero sense to trade a lot of assets for a rental. Also, when JG becomes a UFA in a couple years it will almost be the same situation we are approaching with K-Palms EXCPET JG is unlikely to re-sign here.

I'm not saying that JG would sign here because that can not be guaranteed but to say it's unlikely, I don't know about that, he is from new jersey, so I would think that would put us at least in the running maybe even second place only to Philly.
