Yeah that's fine. I know Dr Henery and Horgan made a push yesterday to have the isolation rule in BC lifted.
Test everyone before they get on planes including the crew. - VANTEL
Why not extend that to the border if they now have reliable rapid test kits, including essential services. So there's a border wait.....what's new? |

100%.
They wanted jobs and a stable economy and they got it before covid...booming. Unfortunately Trump just can't keep his foot out of his mouth for more than a day and actually act like a President.
Enter Sleepy joe. In 4 years they'll wine about the economy being poor blah blah blah Health care blah blah blah No jobs blah blah blah the cycle will just continue to repeat itself until the culture changes somewhat. - LordHumungous
Honestly if Biden gets in and they're whining about the economy don't you think it will be as a result of 2020?
This is BY FAR the largest economic pause we've seen in our lifetimes. I fear it will be much worse in AB with all of the oil reserves built up around the world.
It's too bad more money isn't spent on healthcare, more effectively ( which is the real problem) . We all would have been in a better position to withstand a global pandemic.
It's taken 3 months just to secure some basic PPE for the general population, instead of having a stockpile on hand and production capacity. There must be a government contract out there to produce basic PPE for our own population at all times within our own borders. That's a national security issue. Might be a good contract for AB in the near future. It won't pay oil money, but neither will oil.......at least for the majority. |

Maybe the refs get tired of logging on and reading the same bullpoop every day.
I mean if you find something truly offensive you can flag it, that brings other mods over that might also be sick of bullpoop. |

There needs to be legislation enacted for essential services that encompasses supplies to be made in Canada for ease of access. Nations stockpile cheap oil reserves hurting the oilsands in times like these creating a negative value due to cost of production of a barrel.
Obama inherited a recession.
Trump is out of his league in a state of crisis.
If Biden is elected he’ll inherit the mess of today.
If not then America is stuck with Trump.
That’s a sad & scary thought.
Now my question is when things get rosier will anything be learned & real change happen? Imo complacency will happen again & business as usual dictated by the power brokers & lobbyists of the world. |

I don't think oil will recover in our lifetime, as the level of consumption will never be as high relative to population again. We've already seen a shift away from it, now we have a recession looming with substantial travel restrictions. The airline industry will likely be halved if not more.
Vehicles have been designed for years to be less fuel reliant. The "New new deal" could be spent on shifting us towards a more responsible planet. The possibilities are endless.

Long reaching effects on many levels & more to come. How our govt shifts gears will decide the future. Glad we are not the US. |

I just walked into the house with a Cuban cigar in my hand and my wife said “get outta here with that stinky thing”, I said, “I own this house, you just live here”......LOL! She threw the dish cloth at me, but hey, could’ve been a knife...haha...we both laughed as she knew I was kidding.

Like it or not, they'll have a large effect on the way we live here both as consumers and as producers.
PET was right about one thing, the elephant and the mouse. I think we can all agree on that.
However, we are capable of overcoming some of our traditional shortcomings with ingenuity and modern technology. |

OMG it’s a mess, we have a three car garage and she’s a pack-rat, in the process of getting it cleaned up before the house goes up for sale. |
