Sutter and the 2021 first for Buffalo’s 2020 2nd - Benning gets back his coveted 2nd round pick. - 1970vintage
How many years left does Sutter have? I feel like ditching LE contract with a 1st makes mire sense no? |

Sutter 1 year left.
As much as I want LE erased hard to give up another 1st. Probably just ride it out & Robidas Island his ass to Utica. Try to force a termination or let him rot for 2yrs. |

In other years I think riding it out is right but not this year. You don't want to lose decent players and keep players that are getting old and injured.
I honestly don't see a spot available for both Sutter and Beagle
Bo and JTM have three years left and I don't think you want to wait two years d1cking around waiting for Sven Loui and Sutter to put in time. Move them . Get guys like Hoglander and Podkolzen into the system. |

Honestly if Biden gets in and they're whining about the economy don't you think it will be as a result of 2020?
This is BY FAR the largest economic pause we've seen in our lifetimes. I fear it will be much worse in AB with all of the oil reserves built up around the world.
It's too bad more money isn't spent on healthcare, more effectively ( which is the real problem) . We all would have been in a better position to withstand a global pandemic.
It's taken 3 months just to secure some basic PPE for the general population, instead of having a stockpile on hand and production capacity. There must be a government contract out there to produce basic PPE for our own population at all times within our own borders. That's a national security issue. Might be a good contract for AB in the near future. It won't pay oil money, but neither will oil.......at least for the majority. - golfingsince
You are correct a big part of it will be the economic impact of covid. However the cycle just seems to keep repeating itself regardless. Republicans/Conservatives cut cut cut and Liberals/Dems spend spend spend so it will be interesting to see how the numbers add up if Biden gets a 4 year term. Kenney replaced Notley here which was needed as her spending was literally out of control...but now Covid hits and Kenney is in a huge ruts of cuts and he can't create jobs as he promised. Oil and gas are tough as we have products but certain 'people' won't let us get our product to tidewater lol...there is quite a bit of demand for it globally.
The Global demand for Oil and gas will wane over time as it should as we find alternatives for energy and that's fine...but for right now AB is in a pretty bad place and with the red tape by Trudeau and such doesn't make matters better. I would personally love to see AB and BC working together to solve issues instead of the constant bickering. The benefits for both Western Provinces would be massive. My take anyways. |

Again, that narrative is just not true.

Spending has a lot to do with the circumstances of that time. World wars and economic recessions have the biggest impact, not party affiliations. |

Sutter/Sven 1yr left. Can live with 1 of them better if both gone. Fine if Sutter stays. LE with 2yrs left needs putting out to pasture. |

Just look at his golf tab at his clubs.
Collects no salary as Pres.
Said Obama should work not golf.
So he goes out & spends $104m taxpayers dollars to date & lining his own pockets. Obama only played military courses. |

All of them need to go . I like GMs like Jim Rutherford . He doesn't sit still and is never afraid to pull the trigger.
I liked what I seen Canucks do against some of the top teams this year. I think they are closer than some in here think. Make some more adjustments this summer . Fix the D . They already are a top 10 scoring team so fix the rest , the sooner the better. Either Beagle or Sutter needs to go and Sven definitely needs to go. Absolutely no reason to see him as one of Canucks properties.

I’d like to see JR GM a team that didn’t have Crosby Malkin & MAF when he arrived. He doesn’t impress me. Chevy in the Peg stands out to me.
RHD needs upgrading. Agree the contracts that you said should be gone asap. |

I don't see the connection . JR has two stars yes and he builds around them.
Canucks have two stars also. Why do you think JB went out and traded for JT Miller and toffoli?
Benning is not sitting on his hands , I r4eally like the team he is building. He will continue. |
