100%.

They wanted jobs and a stable economy and they got it before covid...booming. Unfortunately Trump just can't keep his foot out of his mouth for more than a day and actually act like a President.
Enter Sleepy joe. In 4 years they'll wine about the economy being poor blah blah blah Health care blah blah blah No jobs blah blah blah the cycle will just continue to repeat itself until the culture changes somewhat.

Was George Bush the second dumbest president ever?

Clinton will be known as the president had his balls on full display to every woman in Washington to Hillary owning his balls.

I liked Obama so nothing to say about him

- VANTEL

Obama was the people's champion of a sort and a great speaker for the most part but he was an unmitigated disaster economically as President...one of the worst actually.

Some Obama numbers to ponder when he left office:

National debt doubled from 10 trillion to 21 trillion
Debt per US citizen doubled from avg 31,000 to 61,000
Labour participation rate dropped 3%
Home ownership rate dropped 4%
Avg house hold income dropped 4,000 per year
Avg yearly health plans went from 12,000 per year to 18,000 (yikes Obamacare lol)
Tax to benefits ratio up 20%
Food stamp dependants increased almost 11 million
poverty rose from 38 millionj to 45 million

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

As always...have to be careful what you wish for.

Length of training camps, which the NHLPA will agree to, is still expected to be 2-3 weeks. Players may lean to 2-weeks if they feel working out on & off ice during Phase 2 would negate an extra week of camp. 1/2

Upon completion of camps in individual cities, team would go to hub cities, continue to practice, and play 2 exhibition games each. Once that concludes, Phase 4 will commence and games will officially begin. More in link below. 2/2

- VANTEL

Are players allowed to work out on the ice yet and get actual practices/scrimmages going?
Haven't heard much from Sweden of late, I wonder how players around the world and gearing up to get in shape.

Trumps numbers are low right now as he has lost alot of the Black vote he had before with all the stuff happening in the States right now. But that could change come November if the Economy starts rolling again hard to say. The people who wanted Trump in got the strong economy/jobs and such then COVID hits and bam here we are. Sleepy Joe makes sense for the SnowFlakes for sure to calm them all down a bit lol...but be careful what you wish for. It's all Obama policy again with Biden and Obama left the country in economic ruin when he left. No matter what happens or who gets elected it's gonna be interesting.
- LordHumungous

Do you even know what you are saying?

Lost the black vote meaning what?

Lol I saw one report from a news outlet saying that there’s a huge need for mass gatherings to protest racism and police brutality. 15 minutes later that same outlet was condemning Trump for saying that the economy has to get going again and life has to resume to normal.

You dummies still calling each other racists?

Anyone here listen to Satiar Shahs rant on Tanev yesterday? It was quite abrasive . No punches pulled . I do agree with him. I think if you are looking at Tanev first of all needs to be short term and secondly a good price.

I am still in favor of a trade to fill that spot.

Was his rant “they have to sign Tanev at any cost” or “Don’t sign Tanev at any cost”? I could see him ranting either side...

I don’t see, as others keep saying, any FA’s signing short deals because they think a better deal might come one or two years down the road.

For Tanev specifically, given his injury history, I believe he is going to want long term security. If the Canucks won’t give him Myers money/term I bet someone else will be willing to.

I predict 2 year deal.
He has stated he likes Vancouver and would like to play out his career here (like Edler).
Vancouver has shown they are loyal to vets that can play (Sedins) and would be willing to sign short term deals as long as they make sense for both parties.

He was very much against an injury prone , 30 year old Tanev. He even said his game is diminishing.

Wonder if bonuses will still be payed out in July, or if they will agree to push that back until the off season.

Yeah I can’t imagine Tanev only wants to play for two more years though. Why should he sacrifice his personal well being when the team has shown a willingness to pay guys like Myers who have not contributed anything?
