I wouldn't even put Eichel in Hughes class.

Hughes and Horvat for... Matthews and Reilly? McDavid and Nurse? Ottawa's 2 first rounders and Chabot?

You are correct a big part of it will be the economic impact of covid. However the cycle just seems to keep repeating itself regardless. Republicans/Conservatives cut cut cut and Liberals/Dems spend spend spend so it will be interesting to see how the numbers add up if Biden gets a 4 year term. Kenney replaced Notley here which was needed as her spending was literally out of control...but now Covid hits and Kenney is in a huge ruts of cuts and he can't create jobs as he promised. Oil and gas are tough as we have products but certain 'people' won't let us get our product to tidewater lol...there is quite a bit of demand for it globally.

The Global demand for Oil and gas will wane over time as it should as we find alternatives for energy and that's fine...but for right now AB is in a pretty bad place and with the red tape by Trudeau and such doesn't make matters better. I would personally love to see AB and BC working together to solve issues instead of the constant bickering. The benefits for both Western Provinces would be massive. My take anyways.

When Alberta is struggling, they want help, when things are economically balanced, they give the middle finger to everyone.

I crawled deep into the weeds in the new blog today, looking at the significance of the NHL's July 10 training camp start date and what needs to be accomplished before that. More questions than answers, but take a look...

Stay classy Minions!!!

All about you...

Maybe ask the East how they like their equalization payments when things are 'economically balanced'...

That’s another misnomer.

If a province cannot raise an average amount with average tax rates, then the federal government will out of its own general revenue top up that province to the "average amount." There are no transfers of funds between provinces.
