What I'm saying is clear. Top 10 in the draft doesnt equate to a OV comparable. OV is a generational player. Podz doesnt even play anywhere near as physical and certainly doesnt have the hands or the wheels. You disagreed because he was a consensus top 10. It a crazy argument you are making and seems to change as it goes.

I think Vantel is down to earth with his Hertl comparable. He's a middling complementary player and was he was drafted at 17th. His numbers before he made the sharks were considerably better but that wasnt in the KHL.

I wasn’t making a straight across comparison to OV, that’s ridiculous. What i was taking issue with is the expectation/thought that he’s a middle six player. I think that’s the bottom of his potential. What i was articulating is that he’s really physical, unlike most russians, on top of huge skill potential. Like OV was, but woth nowhere near the natural scorjng ability. No one is comparing anyone tk ov directly, he’s the best goal scorer in nhl history. You’re taking what im sayinf and blowing it up. He’s an exceptional two way talent with a lot of skill for a guy who gets dirty(much line ov in this sense). You’re positing a guy that was expected to gk top5 asa bottom line player, only time will tell but his pedigree is not jannik hansen dude

To me it doesn't matter what city. You either shut it down because it is unsafe or you we will take our chance.

I think some of these laws are so stupid. An athlete coming into Canada has to quarantine for days but his/her driver from the airport who handles their bags and takes their money can wander wherever the want spreading the virus.


The everyday activities of the athletes will risk them in coming in contact. When they walk up to the front desk and get their key they are at risk.

You can put all the prevention you want but there is still a high risk.

The film industry brings a sh*t ton more money to the BC economy. Why doesn't the gov't propose special concessions for them? I know a lot more people that work for the film industry than the NHL. Also, keep hearing the medical professionals still having problems getting enough PPE.

I think they will be coming back too. It makes no sense to me to say this group can and this group can't .

I honestly think they have looked at the numbers and have come to the conclusion there was enough deaths of people under the age of 50 to shut down the economy.

I worked in the industry for a few years. I read the guide lines for re-opening and they make filming nearly impossible. I also read an industry veteran saying the fall is the earliest, realistic time line.
Hospitality, service and entertainment indiustries are FUBAR.
