I gave them the benefit of the doubt their first few years as owners of the Sabres but until they back off the day to day stuff sort of like they did with the Bills the Sabres will always be a sub-par team.

Part of me wonders if this is because Beane and McDermott delivered a solid foundation where the Pegulas feel comfortable backing off or is it that others inside the NFL circle have told them to back off?
