Maybe because it’s the first season in (forever) he’s been paired with a partner who isn’t an absolute shambles magnet. Playing with Hughes will make Tanev a 20 point, 25 min per night top pairing guy for $5m ish.

As I said I don't want to wait for contracts to expire. Next year should be an aggressive year for Benning . Build a top 10 team for the 20-21 season and compete for the cup the following year.

Minny is a good team. If Canucks are healthy they have the toughness for playoffs and definitely have the skill. I think with the three month layoff advantage goes to the younger faster teams.
