Jake and Stecher are both players that can be overpaid by an arbitrator . I think they are the two that are in trouble. - VANTEL
Neither are going to arbitration imo |

Crumbled? They’ve been terrible with him in the lineup....he’s part of the reason they’ve been so bad for five years. - Pacificgem
At 3C that line will be a black hole for offence again. Ain’t happening. |

Stecher wont see an offer he could be signed after July 1 for about 1 mil
Jakes agent will tell him do you want to stay in Vancouver for 1.5 or play somewhere else for 4 .
Jake will be traded. |

You guys should talk to Dr House about finishing the season safely. I'll talk to 13. - boonerbuck

Virtanen will get a deal similar to Brett Connolly, 3.5 million per year, he’ll be going nowhere. |

It all depends on where the breaking point is. I think Connolly has 2-20+ goal seasons and 2-40 point+ seasons, meanwhile Jake has yet to reach either milestone. Although it could be argued that if this season wasn’t cut short, he would have hit both of those milestones. I’d say a 2-2.5 is fair, taking into consideration that the cap will probably go down and the nhl won’t do well due to this virus for a few years. |

I haven’t read anything on how that’s gonna work or any plans around it. They’ve gotta do something! |

I think there’s so much uncertainty. As much as I want hockey and am glad the 2 sides are making progress, we must remember that the players will have to ratify any deal that league and PA reach. So depending on hub cities and factors like family and health concerns, everything that’s being proposed could still get voted down if the players have too many concerns. |

15, 15, 22, 19 over the past four seasons...one 40+ point season in his career. He’s 28 years old. Jake is 23, so on a similar projection line. |

Unless they move someone, which has proven difficult for Jim Benning, I don’t see Toffoli being signed. - Pacificgem

What Freidman and Larry Brooke have said is everything ties into each other . Escrow is a huge issue and players could face 50 % salary loss next year if their is no resolution. More realistic numbers are 21% or 14 % if they can agree upon things. If players say no return then the NHL will be pissed. Carol has the exact numbers in the blog.
They are trying to extend the CBA 5 years and make adjustments to it . They need to figure it out soon.

The whole world is facing escrow. The league needs to suck it up and stop being so greedy. |

It is actually the players that need to suck it up. They signed a previous CBA saying if the league loses money you lose money. The league lost money. Their turn. |

True. Both sides need to worry about the next few years not some 'new season tournament playoff' 5 months after the regular season is halted. |
