Seems like we finally cleared the Judd Brackett dilemma . Are we okay now ? Is it still too soon to say the Judd word?

I think you should wait until after the draft you disrespectful wiener.

Like you, I really didn't GAF. The stupid sh1t people go on about.

Pretty silly stuff. I like this team and I like the direction they are going.

Our new Dilemma is Chris Tanev

I would be interested where people think he is going to sign? He likes TO and Vancouver. TO has a handful of young RD and also have 4 mil in Cap space with 16 players signed . He is going nowhere and it will be to a reasonable contract if Canucks do decide to bring him back.

Benning will recoup the 2nd by trading away a bunch of excellent players the team has moved past.

Not into the genre, but I think he's a Country singer.

Using Eriksson as an example on July 1 Loui gets 4 mil bonus which will cost the NHL as a 4 mil loss and everyone pays the escrow on the loss including Loui on his remaining 1 mil he makes that is not guaranteed .

Simple right?

- VANTEL

That would be (frank)ed, I just looked it up.

Players do pay escrow on their bonus's but not when they get paid.

Escrow is not directly deducted from a signing bonus payment though, the amount due from those bonuses is taken off salary payments throughout the season.

So using Eriksson, he would of recieved 4m bonus and 1 m salary. If they returned 14% of their salary, Eriksson pays 700k back to the league meaning he only makes 300k throughout the year on top of the 4m bonus.

Even better so he would be playing next year for 300 K . Maybe that is incentive to retire.

Loui rediscovers himself this year when we play meaningful hockey.

Thinking about it it's kind of like the Willie Mitchell situation? Sign Tanev to a long term deal and risk all his injuries or have hime move on to another team and win cups? lol

This was Tanev's first healthy season in 4 years. I say move on...

There are going to be a lot of options like Dillon Barrie even Pietrangelo . You would need to move money for AP but again you don't have to fall back on Stecher Tanev.

Explore all options.

I think Markstrom and TT are doable.

As I said I don't want to wait for contracts to expire. Next year should be an aggressive year for Benning . Build a top 10 team for the 20-21 season and compete for the cup the following year.

If you'd have told me a couple of years ago that it would take a global pandemic and a half cancelled season for the Canucks to get out from under Eriksson's contract, I'd have told you that you were absolutely correct. You're right, we're due.

Watch him lead the league in playoff scoring. Once again showing Benning (and Greens) genius.
