Taxes and why that's the reason Matthews will never re-sign with the Leafs.

It's ignorance. How you can you have a conversation with someone who refuses to acknowledge what the real problems are? Or how this happened? Why it happened. Or at least be open to the possibility that he might be wrong? These types would rather deflect, point the finger and victimize the victims.
- gergeswillems

Ignorance is generous. There's a lot of active research to support some very ugly ideas. But I'm not going to label it right now.

So do you believe blacks have been afforded the same opportunities as whites in Canada and the USA? Blacks aren't asking for handouts. They're asking to be treated equally and afforded the same rights as white people. Is this an impossible expectation?

Lol!!

Thats a good one.....

Yes it is time to trade Nylander for a haul.
I believe he would fetch a great return, Carolina would give the Leafs back their 1st along with Buffalo's 3RD with Dzingle and Gardner with half his salary retained. That would clear $1.6M salary and help restock the shelves as well as gettiing 2 servicable NHLer's.
I realize most of you would rather want a stud D-man for him, but having picks in what promises to be a very good draft class may be better for the organization. There would be many great possibilities if Dubas trades Nylander.

Leafs aren't trading Nylander in my opinion. Unless Dubas were offered Seth Jones.

The majority of the posters in here are discussing political and social issues of current interest. Again, no one is interfering with your ability to talk to about hockey with anyone who wants to talk about hockey with you.

That'd be a horrible return for Nylander.

They'd be pretty stupid to continue going into every season making the same mistake over and over again, even if it wasn't for Seth Jones.

Yeah, in the current climate Jones would be worth 2 Nylanders.
No, really I do think Jones would be an over payment. The Leafs were said to want Dumba. Nylander would be an over payment for him, Maybe Dubas could wriggle a 4th along with him.

Dumba is not worth more than Nylander after the season he had this year.

shut up man.
you've tired us endlessly last year with your made up tax-assays - and on how tavares was stupid to sign with leafs.
(even after it was pointed out to you several times that a decent tax advisor could set up a financial construction that would solve the tax issue completely)

Wow, that's really not good. The only good thing in that trade is the Leafs 1st back (which I think Carolina already traded?). But even then, a 1st is the bare minimum of starters the Leafs should be getting for Nylander.

Captain EO acknowledged the interest we have in important political and social issue and asked us to respect Mike's hard work in bringing us hockey news.

I read and enjoyed Mike's piece. I find that the points I have on the topic have been fully covered in the discussion already.

A 1st round pick that isn't a top 5 pick and a lock to be a sure fire legit player is useless to the Leafs.
