They had Reimer / Bernier in net and an empty blueline. That team tanks no matter what. Losing games is easy, Detroit (Bernier with no blueline again) did it perfectly this year.

Disagree 1005. they actually lost the most 1 goal games in the entire nhl in 2015-16. with a top sniper that was ppg for all years combined, they pass edmonton easily 91 point difference without kessel0.

Kessel had 25 goals and 61 points the year before. Whether he was there or not, the Leafs could have tanked that season. If Sparks plays 30 games instead of 17, tanking is easy. Tanking is by far the easiest accomplishment in the NHL.
