To support a person who put homosexuals in concentration camps during Pride Month is especially offensive.

Just stick to hockey, keep the politics in another thread.

Go create it and see how it goes.

Honestly, I don't. If it's safe for the players and they do go ahead with the restructured playoffs, I have no issues.

I just don't want the government to cut a special deal for hockey. if border opens, fine. if not, play in the states

That's actually not what a mod is suppose to do. Not surprising that you'd view even a small amount of power as an absolute blank slate to abuse that power. I mean, that's what Che would do.

Players will be in quarantine for 2 weeks after coming into Toronto. The players are gonna be tested frequently as well. If it's safe, I'm fine with it..

If it's safe for the border to be open, then open it. But I don't like the idea of special arrangements just so we can say they're playing in our empty arena.

As long as one of the hub cities is in the East, I don't overly care where it is.

Better for the players and TV if it's in the East.

True, it would suck if all Leafs games started at 10pm EST.

Big if, but if there are no new cases by July 10th, does it matter if borders are not yet open? The players will be tested frequently and will be in quarantine for 14 days upon arrival..

I wonder if it is Toronto, Vancouver or Edmonton that is selected
- PatC80

If Vegas gets it for the West then Vancouver is out with Edmonton.

This leaves the Leafs for the Eastern conference as a posibles hub city.
Just need the infection rate to to drop.

Nope, it doesn't matter a lot. I'm not sure about non players and issues of faulty tests but I agree that the risks are probably not huge. but are there other things, maybe family unification situations or business opportunities, that could also be done safely that we are still saying no to. that's my only point.

It's a valid point, I am positive that there will be a lot of fans going to bars to watch games, so there is potential risk to the public. Will the players be allowed to go to bars or public places?
