Rod Brind'Amour has one year left on his contract with Carolina. Maybe Kevyn can talk him into coming here and Ralph can move up to President after next season?

The tank will have been for nothing

Yes it can get worse ...... we have a Gm that has literally NO Gming experience. None what so ever.
- Sabretooth9

Well he was GM of Harbour Center.

It seems like we have a plethora of low ceiling defenseman. Simmonds, Frolik, Pilut the past year has been an embarrassment for Botts. Those moves are on Botts, has nothing to do with the ownership. DeDominicis is saying there's still more to come here. He was spot on for the trade deadline coverage. I'll enjoy today knowing Botts is gone
- mattmoulson

From the offseason and the skinner contract to the trades he made during the season it really showed how incompetent Botts was.

That’s a great thought. I doubt Rod leaves Carolina for this steaming pile. Unless he’s enamored with the idea of coaching the likes of Jack and Dahlin.

and our first franchise player since Hasek is going to want out even more
- Stripes77

If Botterill had done his job last summer and gotten a reasonable stop gap center, we'd be in the 24 team playoff and Eichel would be very happy. Im pretty sure Eichel isn't shedding any tears for Botterill

Which means running an ice rink...which is I do for a living

But I am certainly not qualified to be the GM of a professional sports team

Rod has said several times that he has no interest in making a career out of coaching. Says once his time is up in Carolina his time is up. He doesn't want to go anywhere else.

the ONLY way I see him possibly taking another job is if Philadelphia calls.

He was a big part of the decision to get rid of Skinner. I doubt he wants him back.

I'm OK with firing Botts (should have been fired for the ROR trade immediately), and I don't mind that quote from her. I'm not so sure about the hiring of Adams though. I guess we'll see how that goes, but I would have preferred someone with experience.

Let's just see how he handles the next couple of months before we run him out of town too.

- kritter65

ROR trade is as much on PSE as Botts. It was clear they weren’t gonna pay the 7M bonus and he was told to take the best offer. If they had paid it, Buf prolly gets the same package except Thomas instead of Tage and the outlook of this team is very different. Not to mention who knows if StL wins the cup without Thomas, was a great energy guy down the stretch to push them into the playoffs. Just an all around joke of an organization. If I’m Dahlin, I’m signing for min number of years to get me to UFA, even if it’s for less $ just to GTFO

But does he want to be the VP of hockey Ops? Buf loves hiring guys for a lot of money that have little to no experience at a specific job

Sure, and we’d play an extra week and a half of hockey and potentially miss out on winning a top 3 pick in the next few weeks.

I’m fine with trading it, but I doubt it’s moved before the lottery. Could be 1,2,3,7,8,9, or 10. Lot of variability there that would suck if moved improperly

Would have been a far better return. Wonder what the plus Botts was asking for that was on the Phoenix GMs video

Internet blowing up like crazy with Sabres-talk. One thing that bothers me that I keep seeing over and over again throughout the years : The sentiment that us fans DESERVE better. No we don't- we're all jerks. Everyone in here is an a-hole and doesn't deserve sh!t from the Sabres.

Carry on.

How about you go one (frank)ing day without practically begging this franchise to trade their best player?

Do you flog yourself when you do something bad? Ffs.

Cut the "woe is Jack" crap. You're truly unbearable.

He's in Carolina too.

they decided to hire Dudley away from Montreal and do a "GM by Committee" thing rather than hire one of the "up and comers" like Paul Fenton or Mike Futa.
