If the core is addressed and changed this offseason, I am good.

doesn't matter when the coach knows 1 eye willie is your goalie and no other backup is on the roster

I never said I agreed with everything he did. I’ve said numerous times I was hoping for Brink at that pick not Johnson.

I also never understood the Vesey, Frolik, and Simmonds trades nor why he only got a 4th back from Scandella (to his credit though he didn’t know J-Bo was gonna nearly die on the bench).

Hopefully Adams can be the guy who moves one of Risto/Montour for forward help and doesn’t trade this years pick in order to address the short term.

Kevyn Adams ??? 0 front office hockey personnel decision making.

It can actually get worse

- sbroads24

You've been banging that drum for awhile.....

You were right.

Peguals: What did you do before this that qualifies you as GM.

KA: "Oh i ran a hockey rink and hotel."

Peguals: Again what qulifies you

KA: "You can pay me very little"

Peguals: you're hired

Good analogy .

If hutton is saying "I'm fine" , and management/ team doctors allow him to play. It's on Hutton not kym.

- Boss34

If he’s not using it as an excuse then why worry about it. He’s an excellent back up goalie and if Buffalo gives him the major boot he will definitely land on his feet somewhere. Case closed.
He did what all teams want from a backup. 12/14 and 4. How these certain guys keep saying he cost them the playoffs is ridiculous. Maybe could have won a few more but there were games he was super in and they probably should have lost. Same could be said for Ullmark, Price, Bob and many others. With the Sabres the list is a mile long when it comes to who cost the team the game.

Nope, threads don’t lie.

Just because I approved of building a team drafting in the top 10 does not mean I have to agree with every move the guy did.

as someone who loved the murray hire, and loved the botterill hire, i'm going to reserve judgement on the adams hire

the only thing that matters here is they correctly fired someone bad at his job

I think it would be exciting if you followed Botts to wherever he lands. Maybe become a Pens fan? Does that sound like something you might be interested in?

Perhaps you should just hate this hire...maybe it would work out?

Me personally I like Kevyn Adams. He is a nice enough guy and was nice to me when I reffed training camps back in the day.

But there is zero reason to believe he is going to be a good GM. He has next to no experience.

As others mentioned he has been being groomed for this role...groomed by who? Kim? Also I refuse to believe that the guy who is going to lead this team over the hump is the guy that has been on the Sabres payroll since 2009

You get the 2 phase draft lottery simulator figured out yet or what? Go back a few blogs. I masterfully explained how it works.

Honestly, Johnson is looking pretty good. I know most wanted a forward, because we had “good D”. But for how good of D we had, it sure has looked like poop for the better part of the last two years. I said it then, and I’ll say it again. I think Johnson has great upside for us long term.

I made a website that millions of fans used that led to the most hyped lottery ever. (frank)in connor mcdavid said he used it on live tv. Instead of cashing in on the new found market for fan excitement that exists, the NHL blackballed me and the lottery in general and have made every move possible to drain any possible excitement you can get from it.

(frank) the NHL. Best sport, worst league.

To be fair, GMTM and Botts are polar opposites when it comes to building teams... a good GM is right in the middle of both of their extremes. Hopefully someone’s got that figured out

I have 0 issue with Botterill being fired, but Kevyn Adams is a hilarious hire

my thoughts exactly.

Never a good sign if there isnt an interview process.

I was really angry when LaFontaine came and left. Now I see why.

He is upset that I fell in love with the Sabres at a young age. Apparently since I live an hour away from Buffalo yet happen to be in Southern Ontario I’m now allowed to be a fan of the team.

It don't work like that when you don't pull a team name out of a hat that you decide to like once they get good.

They haven't though. Botts/Murray were polar opposites. They made two extremely different mistakes.

Basically, hiring a good GM seems like a crapshoot, and they didn't hit twice.

Maybe Adams is that guy, who knows.

If he moves this years first it better be worth it that’s all I have to say. I’d move Risto, Montour, Mitts, Thompson, 2021 first, before I move this years pick.

He is? Based on what?

Arthur Kaliyev's stats during his draft year and D+1 (Kaliyev was wanted by a lot of Sabres fans with the late 1st round pick):

18-19 67 Games Played 51 Goals 51 Assists 102 Points
19-20 57 Games Played 44 Goals 54 Assists 98 Points
