Worst case scenario is that all of the moves made today were done because of economic issues for the Pegula's . Remember in April it was reported the Pegula's were Pretty much CASH poor and were instructing all departments to prepare for tight budgets. If this is why the moves were made then there is serious trouble in BuFFalo Land.... |

It would need to be a young star for young star type of trade. - sbroads24
You'll never get back what Eichel is worth.

teams lining up to take Eichel and his cap hit are probably going for it. Moving one young star for another doesn't really help them, although I did include LA's 1st which will be anywhere from 1st to 7th overall. |

I’m thinking Johnny Hockey if the rumors are true.

Precisely.
It's the Evgeni Malkin thing.
the problem with trading Malkin is that you no longer have Malkin.
Same thing applies to Jack. |

Would have to add Turcotte another 1st and a 2nd at least. |

He's 26 going on 27 though, doesn't do much for the Sabres. If you're moving Eichel it's cause you think you're further away than you thought. |

If you're moving Eichel because he's asked out, you're probably not getting full value. |

The problem is that Gaudreau turns 27 this year and you only get two years out of him before he needs a massive raise. |
|
|
|
Yea in a perfect world you'd get your haul, but in a perfect world, he plays here on a playoff team right? - Michael Ghofrani

He's just being dramatic because his boy Botterill got canned. Theyre not trading Eichel |

I’m thinking Eichel demands a trade soon. Get the best player you can.
JG would be a comparable offensive player. 26-27 is still 4-5 years of elite offense |

I can't recall a star getting traded for what he's really worth in the salary cap era. |

You might be the only person enjoying what these gutless owners are doing. Have fun taking the victory laps. Kevyn Adams just got thrown to the wolves |

If Eichel really wanted out and the Sabres wanted to rebuild you'd do well to get back a deal that included two top 6 forwards on team friendly deals and a draft pick between 1st and 7th overall. |

I'd be lying if I said I'm not. The Sabres are much better off without Botterill. The rest of the organizational shakeup is definitely tbd and looking bad, but the Botterill firing was very, very good |

The Sabres are a dumpster fire with or without Botterill.
Like I told you the owners are a huge issue and it took approximately 2 hours post Botterill for that to be true.
I have not cared for 2 months who the GM is |

The problem as I see it, is that you all just care too much. Nothing they do angers me any longer. I've grown extremely apathetic to this franchise, so none of this crap really bothers me.
Eventually, a new season will start, and maybe, just maybe they can compete and I can start caring again. But until then, who gives a phuk ? |
