I’m sure the Pegula’s nailed this former-Sabre-no experience-hire this time though! - sbroads24
Not the first to post like this or something similar, but I don't know why people keep calling him a former Sabre? |

Trocheck had 2 points in 7 games and was a -5. - Pegullaville
Sounds like a guy we should give $8 million per year and make him play RD |

Well atleast we have the Bill's. Only 1 of 2 teams to have all there draft picks signed. Was surprised to see only 60 out of the 255 players drafted have been signed. |

He’s worked for the Sabres. As a coach. He’s a former Sabre |

They made a good offer and Florida wanted someone to replace Trocheck at 2C to continue their playoff run. We didn't have one to offer. Glad he didn't overpay to get an overrated 2C that had 10 goals last season and 10 goals this season before he was traded. For what it's worth, MOJO had nearly the same production this year. - adambuffalo
My personal suspicion is that the package did not include Mittelstadt which may have been the difference.
It's interesting that he had no idea at the TDL that he had a final chance to save his job by making a real deal for a center instead of going for Kahun and Simmonds. His bargain hunting bit him in the ass by 1 point |

Yeah I think he has more to offer but let's not act like Trochek has been a big difference maker in CAR so far. |

That Chad D guy is saying there's more to this, has anyone heard anything else. If they are bringing in a VP you would think there would some kind of rumors. |

Anyone would be better than Botterill. This should have been done before the trade deadline when Botts had already shown his incompetence. Like always the Pegulas are reactionary and never in front of things. They must be the worst owners in the entire league. |

Including CM wouldn't have been the difference. The Panthers weren't throwing in the towel on the season, they were trying to shake things up and make a run to the playoffs. FL wanted an NHL center who would immediately fill the hole in the lineup trading Vinny would leave. Sabres didn't have that to offer. |

lol. a guy who has zero front office experience is now running the team in its most crucial season.
You better believe it can get a hell of a lot worse. |

After the articles on the Pegula’s came out, I immediately didn’t care if Botts stayed, was fired, or who was hired.
The owner’s will be preventing this team from sustaining any type of winning and they absolutely are going to lose Eichel very soon.
It sucks - sbroads24

Maybe. It's still a microcosm of his entire tenure - here's a glaring need that he either can't or won't address - so instead go get Wayne Simmonds real cheap. Oh, and Kahun has played some center. Could always try that |

Kahun should be a good 3rd line guy for us
Botts wasn't a good GM he didn't get results he didn't get average goaltending, and no second line center but now after Murray and now Botts you have to really really question why anyone would want a job here in Buffalo if Kim is as bad as it's rumored to be.
Makes you wonder if what homie said is true about Kim being on calls with player's agents making negotiations if the philosophical differences were Botts telling Kim she shouldn't be on those calls? |

Like many, you had a hard-on for GMJB when hired and you are usually wrong about everything so being despondent about GMKA is a good sign.
Me, being one of the very few who said don't trade ROR, which helped to dig GMJB's grave, the last was losing Pilut no doubt.
By the way where was the Florida homie with some word on this? This must have been kept quiet unlike some random years on contracts without money numbers. |
