what happened yesterday was worse then when rigas bankrupted the team

and worse then the day drury and briere walked away

and in the same breath, they said the foundation is excellent for the short term, which is what botts built, and the rochester staff built



for every sentence that said that was on topic at how this made sense, there was three more sentences said from them to disprove it made sense



the only thing streamlined in the presser, was saving money, and having a gm and coach that basically agreed with everything the owners said regarding hockey

Had that Athletic article and "maintaining family lifestyle" edict not come out, trimming the fat in the organization wouldn't look that bad. They beefed up the coaching and scouting staff, and had nothing to show for it in nine years.

It's so easy to act like others (including billionaires) shouldnt worry about money.

The Sabres are a business. Covid has ravaged there other natural gas business as well as there nfl team.

Losing $, to support the community hockey team, isnt practical. Imagine how few fans are going to return to the arena after the pandemic. Alot of the lost revenue is pegula decision related, but still.....

Here we go again. #Sabres GM Kevyn Adams asked about why Chris Taylor and staff were fired tells @WGR550 that priority for @AmerksHockey will be "player development" . In the past that has been code for not spending money and not thinking winning is a goal in AHL. We will see.

Chris Taylor and his staff did a great job of developing AND winning while with the #Amerks. This moves continues to be extremely puzzling.

love tayls...had the opportunity to meet and chat with him a few times and he was very generous with his time and thoughts...

however...the amerks were swept out of the playoffs two years running which gives credence to "it's a results-based business"...
