YOU don't get it.
The Pugulia's are THE problem
Kerry and Tim are still there, in CONTROL. And interfering.
I have zero, zero confidence in them. - IonSabres
The bills Are fine and they have their hands all up in them and yet they're almost a super bowl team ..
You guys need to relax they're not the problem ...
I've been telling you guys for years they like being like Jerry Jones and now you guys are worried?
I'm excited hope Adam's works out

What if leaner means that 3 guys actually do the job 6 guys were doing, but better.
Just a hypothetical. - TheSabresTaco
This would be wonderful
I have no doubt Adams could possibly be a good, smart GM. I think lot of it is luck.
I think he has the worst bosses he could possibly have |

You really think Miller is just a 3rd pair? Didn’t he play really well with Dahlin?
I never bought into that you need a great player next to a superstar on defense like Dahlin, you just need someone to compliment him well, which I think Miller does |

Miller was also a healthy scratch for 18 of 69 games with this savior we have behind the bench |

can't remember who posted a thesis that botts was against long-term deals and that he didn't want to hand jack that long of a deal...
simple fact, jack was getting max term at that price...for botts to think or hope or want otherwise is ridiculous |

yes...he was a third pair in vegas and he proved a third-pair in buffalo...
I like what your saying when it comes to dahlin's partner, but try and cut next year's roster to $75 million without making moves like that |

actually he and Krueger have a very good relationship from what I've read...how yesterday's massacre affects him might be a different story, but prior to that he really liked playing for krueger - Michael Pachla
true, he had good things to say about Ralph (everybody does). I just mean that he seems very disheartened in the other interviews I've heard. |

There's a difference between "preferring not to" and being unwilling to do so. He came from Pittsburgh where Malkin, Crosby, and Letang all had long-term deals, and he was still able to fit Kessel under the cap. This assumes he was in charge of the cap as reported.

Trade MoJo for the third, keep Miller, Borgen another year of seasoning, bring up rookie forward instead of Borgen. D looks like:
Dahlin Miller
McCabe Joki
FA Miller
I think each player compliments each other nicely, and rounds out or D pairings where I’d be more interested in seeing it play out |

Even looking at Carolina who has a reputation of having a really smart management team.
Without getting lucky on post first rounders like Slavin, Pesce, Aho, and winning a lotto ticket for Svech, how smart are they really? And i'm not discrediting them but still
Just so much is luck

Lay it out for $75m....it's a good exercise |

Yeah I’ll do that. But also something to remember that we don’t know yet is if Pegs and co are going to be cutting players or better way of saying is have an internal cap. Cutting infrastructure and support personal doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll want to not spend to the cap |

I think ideally next year Kahun, MOJO and Olofsson on the 3rd line. They looked good together, and could actually give us secondary scoring.
Bring in a 2nd line center and have the top 6 with eichel, Reinhart, skinner and new center. Plug in a cheap winger on line 1 and 2 and try to roll with a legit top 9. |

I'm sort of baffled they didnt interview anyone, I can't think a time where a professional sports team didn't conduct a round of interviews for a GM role.
Botts was horrible imo, so I'll give Adams one draft and one free agency period before I cast judgment. Having said that, I dont have the highest hopes for him.
But he has guaranteed top 10 pick, and a bunch of cap, hoefully he can bring in 1 or 2 legit forwards. |

I have always been of the opinion that in a perfect world, longer term deals (anything greater than 3 or 4 years) only go to your 3 best players. You can get away with four if you draft well enough and find enough value contracts, but in general, the shorter the term for the rest of them, the easier it is to make changes if needed.
Someone like Eichel is a no-brainer. You're never going to want him off your team unless maybe you can acquire someone like McDavid or Matthews for him. I'm not even saying it's a no-brainer, just that it's the level of player you would need to have the conversation. I highly doubt it took ownership strong-arming Botterill into that deal.
The question is who gets the other ones. Skinner seems like a swing and a miss so far. Dahlin probably will be the other one. It makes the question of what to do with Reinhart an interesting one, especially given what we know of the current climate.

I'll agree.
He actually has a personality and is very articulate.
What that means when it's time to negotiate a deal, who knows? 😂 |
