I think ideally next year Kahun, MOJO and Olofsson on the 3rd line. They looked good together, and could actually give us secondary scoring.
Bring in a 2nd line center and have the top 6 with eichel, Reinhart, skinner and new center. Plug in a cheap winger on line 1 and 2 and try to roll with a legit top 9. - Mentalorgasm5
Not bad, but where do you project Cozens playing. I would be very surprised if they sent him back to JR's |

I'll agree.
He actually has a personality and is very articulate.
What that means when it's time to negotiate a deal, who knows? 😂 - Powerslave
I was sort of wondering the same. I wondered how botts sounded on trade calls. |

he should be in the juniors imo.
I really feel too many teams rush prospects.
Its bad for the cap, its bad for the players growth.
Imo, maybe 3 to 5 players should be in the NHL within 18 months of being drafted.

Even looking at Carolina who has a reputation of having a really smart management team.
Without getting lucky on post first rounders like Slavin, Pesce, Aho, and winning a lotto ticket for Svech, how smart are they really? And i'm not discrediting them but still
Just so much is luck - sbroads24
Luck is a huge part of it. That's why the shift in philosophy since Francis was let go.
Swing for the fences on everything at the draft.
Most of that reputation comes from having a system where every decision, whether on personnel, marketing, whatever, has to be backed up by data that says "Yes, this makes us better." |

For sure. The point was to get the cap under 75M. One of Miller or MoJo has to go along with Risto or Montour for it to work |

The bills Are fine and they have their hands all up in them and yet they're almost a super bowl team ..
You guys need to relax they're not the problem ...
I've been telling you guys for years they like being like Jerry Jones and now you guys are worried?
I'm excited hope Adam's works out - gerbe75pts
So the last 9 years have purely been coincidental?
Got it.
Your logic is non-existent. |

I don't think he learns anymore in Juniors, and how is it bad for the cap having a player on his ELC, could be wrong imo. |

can't remember who posted a thesis that botts was against long-term deals and that he didn't want to hand jack that long of a deal...
simple fact, jack was getting max term at that price...for botts to think or hope or want otherwise is ridiculous - Michael Pachla
It came from E Freidman's podcast. Elliot stated that.

Which is to say that the owner does not tolerate "gut feelings" when it comes to things he has to spend money on, which I would suspect is only bolstered by the AAF fiasco. |

Trade Sam
Trade Mojo
Trade Risto
Trade Montour
Trade Hutton
The above saves about $20m off last seasons roster
Insert Tage
Insert Mitts
Insert Cozens
Insert Johansson
The above adds about $4.5m
Trades are all for futures.
Gets you down to about $67m
Gets you down to about 65-70 points
Draft in Top 5 for next 3 years.

With how much Adams has talked about communication and everyone understanding the plan, i get the sense that ownership, coaching and players were just as much in the dark about Botterill's plan and vision as the rest of us |

Guess we will find out in about 6 months or so. What if Adams goes out and gets that 2C, do you leave Skinner on the 2nd line. |

I would be find moving montour, that it was a bad trade at the time of the trade, and is becoming more obvious it was.
Our forwards are so weak. I want to add there, not decrease.
We actually could ice a very solid bottom 6 with Olofsson, MOJO, Kahun, Asplund, Lazar, and Larsson.
We desperately need that 2nd line center to balance the forward group out.
I wouldn't hate Haula as a stop gap for a year or two until Cozens or another prospect is ready to step in
A plug in- Eichel- Reinhart
Skinner-Haula- plug in
Olofsson-Mojo-Kahun
Asplund-Lazar-Larsson
I think that could be a playoff group of forwards. I would like a better 2nd line center, i just don't if one is available. |

Well, we tried Fast, North & South and couldn't break out past 25th for 3 seasons.
I suspect Slow, Old, Cheep and Physical. That way they can throw everything out the window and start over completely. |

As bad as people make it sound, even without a true 2C, with better goaltending this team is in the playoffs. Improvements need to be made, but they have pieces to build around. Just find those 3 or 4 pieces to fit the puzzle and this isn't as bad as people are complaining about. |

Depends on the 2C.
If he plays more like Jack did 2years ago as a playmaker, for Skinner to finish then yes.
If he is more of a shoot first then no.
I like Jack taking more shots as a sniper that being more of a set-up guy...he was the best sniper in the league last year. |
