BUF needs some help up front. I would do a deal for Boeser with them but I would make BUF take a "bad" contract off our hands. Here's what I would do if I'm VAN:

Kind of my point, without one, Jr leagues trying to play without fans go under very quickly, hell most barely survive as is. Why keep scouting and AHL personal around when both those leagues may be taking a 18 month vacation. As someone said, this is a business after all.

for some reason that troubles you and you're really trying to push some narrative that doesn't exist...

So the Sabres let go 11 Scouts, so they still have 10 Scouts remaining if what I read is right. How many Scouts does a team usually have.

Wonder if Adams gets to bring in a few of his own, or if this is what they are going forward with.

I didn't see the presser yesterday, rather watched it a little while ago.
It was a bad look all the way around for sure.
They claim to have a vision for the direction of the team, but can't articulate it.
They said things changed in 3 short weeks after giving the GM a public endorsement, but offer nothing but vague comments about not being heard.
They offered no info about further restructuring that they threw on Adam's shoulder to deliver to the victims
They talk about preferring to take action vs being reactionary, yet this seems purely reactionary.

All this hiding behind a cloak does them no good.
They rip the heart out of fans every single time they speak.

It reaffirmed my belief that THEY are the #1 problem.

One, from Riv, Petey, Razor this morning. It seems a lot of focus is on the potential of an internal cap and Pach even did a potential roster with a $75 mill ceiling... but but if it’s a overall player cap and by cutting some of the “vets” in Rochester, you are freeing up some internal cap space in Buffalo. So, listed below at the Rochester players over the age of 25 and what they are making. Who stays and who goes? And what’s the organizational savings?

The second thought is from Friedman and looking at making some of the personal and making them “At will” employee’s or if contractual having pandemic language in the contracts. Shrewd, yes... and I’m not smart enough to think through all the pros and cons of such moves.... but you might be seeing the start of trying something completely different from employment and/or contract language.

Not saying any of this is good or bad. Just things to discuss.
