My point is that he missed the 24 team cutoff (and thus lost his job) by one point. One point is any single decision he made along the way. Maybe instead of coveting and seeking out frolik for 5 months, he signs pominville immediately following Sobotka's injury.

Any additional tiny move may have saved his job, let alone finally acquiring a 2C. Losing his job was 100% on him
