Almost every democrat run city is a disaster. Blame all their failures on other party and the sheep fall for it every time. - Fattony1187
That’s where I’m trying to go. You want to stop systemic racism in the cities where it’s “redlining”... VOTE. Different.... |

https://www.postcrescent.com/story/news/2020/06/09/kentucky-primary-elections-jason-nemes-sues-over-polling-places/5325806002/
From the article: "In the lawsuit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Kentucky, Nemes, a Louisville Republican, and voters from Jefferson, Fayette, Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties allege that "significant voter suppression will occur" as a result of each county having a singular polling location."
The Governor of Kentucky is a Democrat. - SoCalPucks
From another article: State officials on both sides of the political aisle released a joint statement condemning US District Court Judge Charles Simpson’s ruling against a case that argued having just one polling site in most of the state’s 120 counties would result in voter suppression.

City of Buffalo hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1965 .... Chester A Kowal.
Edit: The Democratic Party is the dominant party in Buffalo politics; no Republican or other party member has won a seat on the council in several decades, and all nine seats are currently held by Democrats.
Edit 2: state of New York governors... 1973 -74 Malcolm Wilson —— pataki, ‘95 - ‘06 - Gr8daygo
Jimmy Griffin was elected mayor of Buffalo in November 1977, and was sworn in on January 1, 1978. He had lost the Democratic primary for mayor to then Deputy State Assembly Speaker Arthur Eve. In the general election, he was the nominee of the Conservative Party and defeated Eve to be elected mayor. He was reelected in 1981, 1985, and 1989.
Anyway, I think you missed the part where I said it was both parties, everyone, who has had no problem with systemic racism but conservatives seem to have a problem with this.

One more racism and we'll work on that for our esteemed blogger:

Kentucky cutting number of polling places for Tuesday’s primary from 3700 to 200
There will be one polling place for 616,000 registered voters in Louisville’s Jefferson County, where half state’s black voters live
This is going to be a disaster - GilPerreault11
For what it's worth, nearly half of all registered voters in Jefferson county have requested mail in ballots for June 23rd. Someone, perhaps the Democrat Governor, must have waived the restrictions on absentee ballots because of a public health crisis going on.

Yeah, Buffalo doesn't work in a vacuum. The suburbs - Erie County, Niagara County and Buffalo work together, where the jobs, schools, hospitals share the market.
Interesting fact 58% of the jobs are accessible by public transportation. Hard to get a job if you can't get to it. |

*North Korea has the world's highest rate of slavery, with about one in 10 people enslaved, followed by Eritrea (9.3%) Burundi (4%), Central African Republic (2.2%), Afghanistan (2.2%), Mauritania (2.1%), South Sudan (2%), Pakistan (1.7%), Cambodia (1.7%) and Iran (1.6%).Jul 31, 2018
According to a Walk Free Foundation report in 2018, there were 46 million people enslaved worldwide in 2016, and there were 8 million people in India were living in the forms of modern slavery, such as bonded labour, child labour, forced marriage, human trafficking, forced begging, among others
maybe instead of tearing down statues, they should free their neighbors

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer
The Jets' decision to replace longtime athletic trainer John Mellody doesn't pass the smell test. Yes, they had an ordinate number of injuries, but it's misguided to blame one person — a trainer who, by all accounts, had performed at a high level for more than two decades. If Mellody's methods were the problem, why did the Jets promote the assistant (Dave Zuffelato) he schooled for 14 years? |
