you never know...was just looking for a precedent and the only one i have is rick nash - Michael Pachla
I think he is a level above Rick Nash but with the Pegula's you can never tell but if people here had to put money on a bet instead of just tossing out b*tches I'm sure there would then be many more against a trade.

The starting PP wings were VO and Sam with Jack as the center. When VO was injured they put Johansson because he handled the puck and passed it better. The PP was not a problem.
With Skinner I had the benefit of actually wanting him to succeed but he had a terrible year. Have you ever read books/articles people believe what they want to believe? I was in his camp when they signed him so I didn't have the belief that he should fail so he did, he just did this year. Many here believe what they want to believe you included. - GilPerreault11
dahlin was the only d man on the first team pp to start the season
skinner was one of the other 4
johansson took his spot and soccer man kept it that way |

I need you to do us all a favor and separate these two facts:
1. People wanted Jason Botterill fired.
2. People wanted Kerry and Tim to perform a GM search. - TheSabresTaco

And Skinner couldn't do jack on the PP he was meandering in the middle of the ice, why I have no idea but most of us saw that Ralph did too and put him in a better position on the 2nd PP.

with the exception of one season Jeff's never been a very good PP contributer.
Lots of plays tend to die on his stick as he's not great at distributing the puck and tends to try to force it through to the net from anywhere.

No question that there was friction between the two...looking ahead, we'll see if they can work it out, especially ralph...butting heads with a 40-goal scorer isn't an ideal team-building method |

If the Sabres don't win any lottery picks, the 1st rd pick should 100% be traded 1st line player. |

I could see it, but has to be one available and has to be the right one. |

They are trading everybody. They are going to have 22 rookie contracts next year.

Disagree - gerbe75pts
Sabres need to win adn win now,
Drafting a guy that is 2-3 years away wastes more of Eichels time and if the Sabres are bad again next season, no longer have Jack Eichel.

Cap stays stagnant they will have about 5 mil to mess with and have about 20-25 mil worth of guys to sign. |

perhaps i should have said who his first "big hire" (e.g. AGM, director of scouting)...point being, what are his credentials, how much of an analytics fan is he, how good is he at building a team to work under him, etc - Michael Pachla
Gotcha.
Yes, all spot on.
Adam's interviews reveal he is willing to hire smart people, not afraid is key in his situation is especially important. So that is a good sign if he follows through. |

Risto, Montour, Mitts, Thompson, 2021 first.
Some combination of those names should get us somebody who can play 2C until Cozens is ready.
Keep this years pick |

Could be with Cirelli, Sergachev, Cernak all needing new contracts. They always seem to find a way though. |

My sources (TBN) tell me Ralph likes Risto and Montour not so much so Montour might be on the outs no idea about the rest.
Edit: Oh and cruddy, young teams with very few prospects should never trade top ten picks as Mike Harrington wants them to do |
