What are you kidding? People still complain about Tim Murray's drafting ineptitude.

The starting PP wings were VO and Sam with Jack as the center. When VO was injured they put Johansson because he handled the puck and passed it better. The PP was not a problem.

With Skinner I had the benefit of actually wanting him to succeed but he had a terrible year. Have you ever read books/articles people believe what they want to believe? I was in his camp when they signed him so I didn't have the belief that he should fail so he did, he just did this year. Many here believe what they want to believe you included.

Lots of plays tend to die on his stick as he's not great at distributing the puck and tends to try to force it through to the net from anywhere.

No question that there was friction between the two...looking ahead, we'll see if they can work it out, especially ralph...butting heads with a 40-goal scorer isn't an ideal team-building method

perhaps i should have said who his first "big hire" (e.g. AGM, director of scouting)...point being, what are his credentials, how much of an analytics fan is he, how good is he at building a team to work under him, etc
