Gotcha.
Yes, all spot on.
Adam's interviews reveal he is willing to hire smart people, not afraid is key in his situation is especially important. So that is a good sign if he follows through. - IonSabres
I thought I read somewhere that successful executives generally hire people smarter than they..can't remember where I red it unfortunately |

Risto, Montour, Mitts, Thompson, 2021 first.
Some combination of those names should get us somebody who can play 2C until Cozens is ready.
Keep this years pick - Pegullaville
I'd be surprised if that list did get you a bonafide 2C ...65-75sh point player.
But add Rhino into the list of tradeable players and I'd agree.
I'd then use Risto and Montour to further fortify the F ranks at 1RW & 2RW. |

I wouldn't trade Risto and Montour. They don't have the best goaltending, they need some level of D |

If those players don't get you a 2C, then why would we trade Samson and expect those same players to bring us a 1RW? |

I would, as they:
- have 3 guys who can play 2RhD in Joker, Risto, Montour
- don't have a suitable 1RhD
- Miller can play 3RhD
Keep Joker, trade Risto and Montour to save about $9.5m. |

My sources (TBN) tell me Ralph likes Risto and Montour not so much so Montour might be on the outs no idea about the rest.
Edit: Oh and cruddy, young teams with very few prospects should never trade top ten picks as Mike Harrington wants them to do - GilPerreault11
Agreed on Montour and they shouldn't be trading their pick this year, however post lottery if they are in the 9th or 10th spot I would consider moving it |

Because if it were me, I would retool the lines
1st - reunite Skinner and Jack, and the RW would be more like Tuch from VKG. My motive would be more of a physical presence, a guy who can dig the puck out while still putting some points. But the priority is for Skinner and Jack to be the focus. I'll trade-off production from the 1RW for a possession driver to fortify the other 2.
2nd - Olo and the new 2C and a new 2RW, like a Josh Anderson...again, more physicality and can keep up north and south
I just don't see Risto nor Montour being the key piece to secure a bonafide 65-75 pt 2C IMO. |

8/10 you have to draft that said player regardless.
We should be able to acquire someone that can hold their water though in the short term. |

Bob McKenzie's FINAL Top 10 Draft Rankings:
1. Alexis Lafrenière (LW)
2. Tim Stützle (C/LW)
3. Quinton Byfield (C)
4. Jamie Drysdale (D)
5. Cole Perfetti (C/LW)
6. Lucas Raymond (RW)
7. Marco Rossi (C)
8. Jake Sanderson (D)
9. Alexander Holtz (LW/RW)
10. Jack Quinn (RW)
I like that Marco Rossi is #7 from what I've read. - GilPerreault11
We need scoring, Holtz should be our pick he we dont move up.
Won't be ready right away, but that is one prospect I would be surprised to see him fail reaching his potential of a top 6 winger.

funny thing is, combine that whole package, and we got less than that for ROR.
How some said it was a good trade is beyond me. |

I ran an inquiry many mo ths ago going back 5 years..there were about 15sh traded that would qualify as a 2C based on minutes played...I think the points total was like 45 or 50...can't remember ... so that would include 2C and 3C tweeners. So maybe it's 1-2 a year?
Something like that
Do we see more this offseason based a Cap challenges? IDK. |

Touche. ROR and Kadri stick out at the top of my head from recently. I must be missing a few though. I know Winnipeg did Stastny and Hayes in back to back years as rentals. Do those count in the basis of your research ? |

Good call.
Forgot about him cause he’s playing the wing in Vancouver but he can also play down the middle. |

Gotta love paying that much for a guy with minimal term left on his deal only to cough up a top 5 pick and end up flipping him to Columbus not even 2 years later. |
