This is a complete joke. First things first I do not mind Botts getting fired, his results speak for themselves. No issue there at all.

HOWEVER, how can you try to sell that the most qualified person to be the new GM has been on the Sabres payroll since 2009? There was no interview search at all. Paul Hamilton said that Adams was getting groomed for this role? Oh really since when and by who? Kim? Then on top of that, you hold this press conference and don't really say much other than they want to get leaner...

So they start firing people AFTER the press conference. That is such a cowardly act. You have the new GM who is clearly a yes man and following orders start firing scouts, player development coaches, assistant GMs and on top of that the only coach that has had a winning record in the organization in the last 4 years in Taylor.

But yet Devine some how keeps his job? How the hell does that even happen? The Sabres organization looks even worse than it did before they fired Botts. How the hell is that even possible? Oh wait I know the owners are incompetent.

For the first time in my life I am utterly embarrassed to be a Sabres fan. The tank years weren't fun but at least there was a purpose behind it that would benefit the team. The only benefit I can see out of this and all the firings is for Terry and Kim's wallet.

I have a glimmer of hope that suggests Kevyn will hire a team of advisors/GMs or whatever you want to call them. He knows he's inexperienced and sounds like he wants to surround himself with smart people. That's a start.

Here we go again. #Sabres GM Kevyn Adams asked about why Chris Taylor and staff were fired tells @WGR550 that priority for @AmerksHockey will be "player development" . In the past that has been code for not spending money and not thinking winning is a goal in AHL. We will see.

New Sabres GM Kevyn Adams essentially just said on WGR that moving forward, the priority for the Amerks will be player development. Read between the lines: Lots of kids, winning not really a priority.

I like the hire. Adams seems quite capable to surround himself with a great staff. Positions above and below the gm spot seems likely.

Not that he had a lot of time or players to work with, but he did well with Mittelstadt, Thompson, Olofsson, Asplund, Borgen and Bryson.
