Why does your construction business have more reason to open up their business over the tourism industry. - VANTEL
It never closed down, it just had people from the health region that had very low numbers of infected people, until the restrictions started lifting.
I agree with you, everything should have been shut down and remain closed.
Now I fully expect to be flooded with people on our river and worksite from all over the country. I look forward to seeing the people from Ontario and Quebec here.
Edit, I agree with your edit as well. |

If your construction site closed down and isolated then there would be very low chance of catching CV |

That is like saying if you let a Doctor back into your province, he will be truthful about where he went. |

If you are going to shut things down then do it 100 % . Don't pick and choose. Millions and millions of people have been gathering at rallies for the last month . I suggest you target there first and not some river that a bunch of campers may go to. If I remember correctly two weeks ago you suggested that people going camping was not an issue for CV19.
Camp sites have as much right to be open as a construction camp does, - VANTEL
You don't remember correctly.
I have been firm about people staying at home and in their community. I'm scared sh*tless about travel restrictions lifting and the entitled pouring over to the island and spreading the virus. |

I don't know why your life matters more than mine. Shut down everything in the province then.
Just keep open essential service which construction is not one of. - VANTEL

That is your first mistake , trusting other people .
I self isolate . I wear a mask and do essential outings only except visiting my family. I have hand sanitizer in the car and at home. My risks are minimum.
I realize every time I go out I am the one who is responsible not some doctor in NB or some tourist driving to a campsite.
Every time I go out it is a risk but I do realize it is up to me to take the precautions. I don't dine out , don't go to rallies and I have stopped working.
Safety first. |

It’s how Benning rolls. This team’s problem has never been its bottom of the roster roll players. Nothing wrong with Nic Dowd as a fourth line guy, but Benning needed to have the luxury of almost $15m on the 4th line. Now signing Stecher for $2.5 isn’t doable. If you take Stecher and Benn out of the depth chart, and move Rafferty and Brisebois up, where does the depth below come from? Are they in a better position in that scenario? |

Oh I do remember correctly. You laughed when I mentioned camping and you said are you comparing camping to something and I came back with what about one of your camping buddies out the day before at the bar.
Good for you on the self isolation.
Rubey on the other hand is not self isolating . He is in a bubble living station much like the one the NHL is proposing . I see you daily on here saying what a dumb idea that bubble living station is. Infact I think you just posted something on the page before about #playoffs |

Are you talking about Gas?
Why is Liquid Natueal gas so important it has to be dealt with today and not in 2 years when a vaccine is found. |

Ask the BC gov't. Something about jobs in an economically depressed area.
I'm not condoning it and agree it should be shut down if workers are coming other parts of the province & country. |

For everyone that is working or visiting beaches it will spread the virus . It is that simple . So people like you that are obeying the suggestions by the Govt , it prolongs how long you have to isolate.
Vintsy's eatery , Rubey's camp , Lordy;s and Lefty's golfing all add to the risk.
People have chosen work, money and entertainment over the risk of spreading the virus.
I am not condoning them at all , as I said it is up to me to make sure I am safe ,

I don't read the Athletic or haven't in the past so I did not get my #5 from then or anyone.
I got it from following the AHL , looking at CapGeek quite a bit and following guys like CanuckAbby2 and Daniel Gee for hi-lites.
Minivan ( the little pr1ck) was decent also for prospects. |

You’re right, the more business opens up, the more risk that’s created. The goal is to manage the risk as best we can. I think what Ruby is saying is that his community doesn’t have the resources to deal with an outbreak effectively while Fraser Health, Vancouver Health, even Island Health are better positioned, with more beds, more staff easier access to PPE etc.
It’s great that many of us are managing our personal risk. Like you, I don’t do much other than go to work/home. When I am out in public I wear a mask, I wash my hands 40+ times per day, use sanitizer when soap isn’t available. It’s everyone else I’m worried about. |

I am not an expert on the virus but I don't think it smacks you in the face in one hour and then you are on life support. I would think you would feel the symptoms coming on over a day or two and people would be smart enough to get out of the wilderness if they feel symptoms.
I don't see any scenario when 22 people one day walk into their hospital on deaths bed. They may go to their emergency and be instructed that they should go to the nearest big city where they have better facilities. |

NHL will jump directly into a 24-team playoff format. With that being said, it leaves the 20-year-old Hughes as the rookie-scoring champion.
According to EliasSports, Hughes joins Brian Leetch and Bobby Orr as the only two other rookie defenders over the last 80 years to accomplish such a feat. Let that sink in for a second. That puts the Canucks best defender in company with two first-ballot Hall of Fame players and complete NHL legends. |
