What are those things?
I suspect it's from a children's video game or comic book. - Marwood
Never been much for VG's. Here you go...treat yourself if you dare. One of the only trades to ever win the world fantasy award (reserved for novelists) but it's intellectual so...lol

Which is contradictory as it's been reported by the NHLPA that well over 80% of the players polled are ready to go. What 'guys' did Bieska talk to lol...
Kesler? - LordHumungous
wouldnt surprise me if some players changed their minds now that the plan has been released. especially the euros on low seed teams like montreal who may spend 2 weeks in training camp to play 3 games and then sit around another month or two for whenever next season starts |

I don’t know. The only concrete info I’ve seen is the NHLPA’s announcement on May 22...
“The Executive Board of the NHLPA has authorized further negotiations with the NHL on a 24-team return to play format to determine the winner of the 2020 Stanley Cup. Several details remain to be negotiated and an agreement on the format would still be subject to the parties reaching agreement on all issues relevant to resuming play.”
Has there been any other official statement since the above? That doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement to play by the majority of players.

Bloody hell.
That is some sadistic abuse there.
Horrible.
Must have taken some real guts to confront and expose.
Good on him and I hope this leads to real reform and safety for kids. |

I wouldn’t have done any of that regardless of the situation or payoff. I guess it comes down to your personal ethics to draw the line. |

I never played hockey growing up, but went to high school in North Van with a lot of people who played at higher levels. Pretty much sums up what they told me about hazing. |

Post has learned that Lias Andersson has decided to remain in Sweden. Rangers had talked to him about joining team for 2020 training camp, but seventh-overall from 2017 opted against accepting invite...So it ends until there's a trade...
Elliotte Friedman
@FriedgeHNIC
Andersson is under contract with NYR for 2020-21, so they have to be involved in this process |

Sure.
Personal ethics, but also group think and peer pressure are factors.
As well as having the ability to report concerns and have them investigated in a meaningful way.
I think you could draw parallels to the police force reforms debates around the world at the moment and the institutional problems that exist.

Eh, to a degree that's victim-blaming (saying they have the wrong ethics). There's a lot of power dynamics involved in that, especially if the coaches are in on it/not stopping it. Peer pressure, wanting to be accepted, and the desire to be a professional hockey player to 15-16 year olds is huge. They're not adults who can really rationalize and walk away from the situation. |

100% the coach endorsement and awareness is the toughest to get around. you can be cut for not fitting in "chemistry" so the pressure to follow along is immense |

Right After the trade was announced Brooksy was saying they are trying everything to move up for a player they have at #1 but are running into road blocks
Elliot friedman and Brooksy both said they were targeting pettersson
They were talking with Vegas about taking their pick AFTER Vegas would move up in front of Vancouver.
Man if that happened. |

I thought he was saying that the NYR's were trying to move up the draft table to select EP40 and I was wondering if he knew who they were trying to trade with, like what spot, or what team.
edit: ah. i see. |

Friedman discussed the whole thing
Couldn't move Colorado but came close
then apparently they worked out some backdoor deal, if vegas could move in front of Vancouver, which they tried to do, but Benning got jitters.

Someone tell Nighthawk about this when he wakes up.
he's always going on about trading down at the draft to recoup more picks. |

I wouldn’t drink another teammate’s semen or would I sodomize them regardless of the situation. End of sentence. Not blaming anyone. It’s just how I roll. |

I just remember reading a few weeks back that the NHL/NHLPA were meeting on certain things and this was brought up. It was a high percentage of players then who wanted things to get rolling but things may have changed a bit since hard to say.
