I hope you are referring to him being crazy about getting the 2nd back!
'Cause you have to be kidding otherwise. NYR have essentially completed a retool/rebuild/re-whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-it in 2 years time (4 by the time the other acquired assets play on Broadway). The Leafs are nearly entering DECADE 4 of trying to build toward any sort of playoff success.
You seem to be trying to defend Dubas. So, in that regard, what has he accomplished that has paid off? You will be dancing with the Cap for years to come and still have a glaringly incomplete roster. And no playoff success of note. At all.
Congrats! - Tonybere
It’s my understanding one NHL club has had to temporarily close its training facilities during Phase Two because multiple players and some staff have tested positive for Covid-19.

Just heard the Phillies just closed their training facility in FLA for the same reason. 5 players and 3 staff test positive.
I think in this day and age, guy's in the spotlight with the "extreme right wing" opinions really need to be quiet on social media and that's where Tony D comes from
Of course people on that side of things are going to defend his right to express those opinions, I just wanna know what POSSIBLY could be beneficial to him by doing it?
the Rangers are image conscious, and these days, they cant possibly want that headache, how the heck does Tony D think this is the best strategy towards getting that 6 year 40 million deal from the Rangers - jimbo83
If the extreme right wing spotlight should be quiet, and if the same applied to the extreme left wing spotlight, no one would be able to say anything. 99% of athletes talking about this stuff are on the left, and most have no idea what they’re talking about.

I believe it’s three players and two staff who tested positive. Remaining players and staff are being tested. If no further positive tests, expectation is training facility will re-open, Phase Two will continue. If there are further positive tests, well, we will see what happens.

The team in question is the Tampa Bay Lightning.

but I am only talking about one guy in particular, with a shady past, former first rounder of Tampa Bay who traded him for a second rounder just to get rid of the headache
The inherent exposure of the strictly voluntary Phase Two is that the players aren’t locked down from the public in any way. And with case counts in FLA and ARI skyrocketing of late, it should come as no surprise if NHL players in those hot spots will test positive.

Honestly, everyone had to have expected this to happen. I kinda always thought that the season wasn't going to be concluded, I still have my doubts.

Might be a blessing in disguise. I’ve argued for awhile now that I want the league to focus on putting the logistics together so a successful full 20-21 can happen. This may force them to do this.

Okay so first off Rangers have 0 home grown talent except kreider and her was drafted 09. All of the leafs best players are actually drafted by the Leafs minus Tavares.
Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Reilly, Dermott, Sandin, Johnsonn, Hyman etc all came up through Torontos system. How well has the Rangers Draft and Development been lately?? (LOL)
Second the Rangers haven't made playoffs in two years..... Leafs keep losing to Bruins but I mean at least they make playoffs every year right. Plus Bruins went to finals last year.
If you want to compare GM's I mean c'mon, Doesn't the Trouba trade and sign say enough?
As for the cap management I wouldn't throw stones in a glass house. At least Leafs have a Farm team full of talent. (Is an AHL championship good?)
I'm not even a Leafs fan BTW.
