Drance on Canucks draft prep: Weisbrod has taken on a bigger role managing meetings and that leadership side of it.

They already have scouted up until amateur hockey shut down and what is there to scout next year? No AHL CHL NCAA Helinka CuP no U18 U17

I could be head of scouting next year it wont matter

Scouting is over for this season. We got what we need out of Brackett before he was let go already. Unfortunately, some other team may get what we needed out of him as well.

I wonder if Brackett was even part of the meetings last year. This has been a rift they have known about since the last draft. I would wonder how much involvement he had last year if any?

It will be undermined but in fact be the hardest , regardless of who wins.

Like I was saying, they've had a long time to rest and recuperate before they fly to one, maybe 2 cities for a tournament thingy. The real cup is by far the hardest trophy to win.

I was reading a pretty cool article about how they are having way more interviews than normal, it will be interesting to see what a bump in that side of the process might do.

I look at some local guys like Daniel Gee , CanucksAbby2 Cam Robinson Ryan Biech and even JD Burke (Assh0le) , they cover a lot of games every year by streaming the games.

I think you always need your scouts in all the leagues but the video watching by Canucks Ryan Biech can give a heads up for one of the scout about a guys numbers and fancy stats . The can then go take a look at the player once he hits the radar.

Ya I was more talking about player interviews, which I guess they conducting much more of and often wouldn't with guys outside of the first two rounds is what I heard. Can't remember the article but it was interesting, maybe it will change how they approach scouting a bit if they find success with what they are having to do.
