My beating the drum for Bonino is taken out of context
The entire reason for that was the awful idea that we should trade for Ryan Johansen by some here
Bonino is better than him at half the salary
- jdfitz77
Johansen is much better for the top 6
not even close
Bonino is a 3rd line center for a cup type team though |

I hear and read this a lot.
assuming those teams would need Picks and/or ELC Players, what assets does Buffalo have to obtain a 70 point 2C?
2020-1st...NOPE, that is what teams hope their Top 5 pick becomes.
also, you have been beating the drum for Bonino as a stop gap 2C.
At 32; 1 Year at $4.1M and career 0.45 PPG … 35 Pt player
yet
Kerfott is
25, 3 @ $3.5m and career 0.50 PPG … 41 pt player
must be missing something.
The deal is not Risto for Kerfott, It is For Kerfoot and Johnsson - IonSabres
We NEED two 2nd liners,
not two 3rd liners
That’s really what it’s all about for me when u break it down |

Johansen is a joke who produced the same as Bonino even though Bonino:
-played on line3 vs tough assignments
-had worse linemates
-had no PP time
-started in the defensive end MUCH MUCH more
And Bonino:
-has half the Cap hit
-is a superior 2way player
-doesn’t have the attitude & effort issues that plague Johansen
-wouldn’t cost as much to get in a trade
Now if we were getting the stud offensive player that Johansen is SUPPOSED TO BE,
then I’d agree with you
But he just isn’t that guy at all |

Which just shows that your dislike for Risto is why you like this trade
Not bc acquiring 2 more 3rd liners is a good idea
We already have MoJo & Kahun |

I've had an Amazon Firestick for a few years now - it's decent. Someone gave me a new Roku - I think I can put it on the same TV (there's 1 more HDMI port I can use), but do I want to do that ? The Firestick has everything I need, including Kodi and things like that. Do I even need the Roku ? Does is offer anything different than the Firestick ?
Of course I have Prime that I'm paying for to use along with the Firestick. I'm assuming the Roku is free to use their normal streaming services, but need to upgrade in order to use Hulu or HBO Now and things like that ? |

Tyler Johnson, Anthony Cirelli, Erik Cernak for Pick 7, Colin Miller and a 4th
(hides) - homiedclown
I would love that trade Where do I sign? Do I need pegulas approval first? |

Cal Foote is ready for the NHL
they already signed Semykin and I heard they really like Alex Green
saves the bolts about 8-10 mil on their cap and gives them a top 7 pick
they are going to have to make a trade like that IMO - homiedclown
It’s not impossible
But I’d think Tampa does everything they can to keep Cirelli
They’ll try to move/give away Gourde
They’ll try to move Kilorn or Palat before Cirelli as well
And i don’t think Cernak will cost them a lot to keep, do you? |

They need both, lol.
Cozens fills 1 spot on 3rd line short-term and hopefully/probably 2nd line long-term.
If they can trade a redundant Risto for 2 30-40 pt 3rd liners I'm good.
Like many have said, maybe a Cap strapped team would unload a older vet 2C....Colorado with Stastny. |

Ryan Johansen .67 ppg in nhl
Nick Bonino .45 ppg in nhl
again Bonino is the perfect third line center for a cup contender
Johansen is the guy that is going to give you 60 to 65 points on the second line if you stack your top 6 |

I'm likely going to an IPTV service and dumping Direct TV, NFL package and NHL packages. |

I think they are going to try to move 2 of the gourde, kilorn, palat and johnsons
if they can
if they can't I can see a case like what I pointed out
I think Cernak gets close to what C Miller gets for the sabres money, and Cirelli and Sergachev get over 5 mil per |

Welcome!
I'm in Sarasota, about 45 minutes south of you.
Bolts are incredible to watch at the arena, go if you can get a ticket, you'll love it.
such a difference from Buffalo's KBC, unfortunately...top notch arena, team plays exciting style,
Hopefully, they aren't on the downslide at the end of their window. - IonSabres
Thank you for the welcome. We have been to several bolts games... playoffs as well. vacation at St petes beach every year. Never had to worry about missing a sabres playoff game. Great atmosphere at the arena... Very upbeat.
They are a team that manages there roster well. I look forward to a few more years of great hockey from them.

MoJo, Kahun, Cozens, Mitts, Tage, Asplund?, Routsalainen?
PLENTY of 3rd liners,
even when Cozens & Mitts move up
And even better...
if we acquire two 2nd liners, then how great does our 3rd line end up looking?
Acquiring 3rd liners for us is not smart
Doing so & playing them on line2 is outright stupid |

VKG will need to make a deal as well.
Would love go get Tuch out of there. Throw them Tage in a package, maybe they buy into the big T (even though he plays like a kitten)
IMO, that frees up trading Rhino and not getting roped into a long term deal at $7+.
Although, he seems like a brown nose...probably calls Kerry and Tim as Mr and Mrs Pegula so Tim doesn't trade him. - IonSabres

That's the point.
Sabres have 3 relatively capable 2RhD, an overload at LW and BS at 2C, 2RW, 3C, 3RW.
Use those redundant assets to acquire capable players at those positions of need.
It upgrades the team overall, even if it hasn't optimized each position
Ya 40 pt player at 2C isn't optimal by any means, but better than they have and doable for short-term.
What would be awesome is to fall into 2-OA slot and get Byfield. Then we have a very, very high probably 2C will be addressed nicely between Cozens and him. Limp along until then isn't perfect, but I could live with it |

Every year i think Tampa is screwed & then they figure it out
I like your trade idea
But I’m not gonna believe Tampa makes a move like that till i see it
Hope you’re right though & we can benefit
Jack, Cirelli & Cozens down the middle would be awesome
Especially if we kept Larsson in theat heavy defensive role
Then i think you’d see Cirelli’s points be up more In the 60ish range
Jack > Briere
Cirelli = Drury
Cozens ? Roy/Connolly
Larsson = Gaustad
That’s a Cup Contending Center group right there |
