Lets look at some of the teams who are the best at it and see if we can get one of their guys and promote him for fresh ideas.

That was a good read, as was the related article about Dud's building a similar approach in Carolina.
Most notable to me was the comment that video scouting is far more effective in the pro ranks than in the amateur ranks...same with data to base the advanced analytics on.

I have always thought Duds would be a huge add to the Sabres.

Rather than having separate people run the pro and amateur scouting staffs, Adams chose to have scouts work under the same umbrella and the Sabres’ new model on both sides will include the integration of more video and analytics.

Larry is the first guy I think will want to leave. He's never seemed "happy" here. (just an outsiders observation. I could be totally wrong)

I think that’s just his personality. He thrives on being a pest and bumhole on the ice, prolly just carries around with him. Honestly, he’s one of the like 4 guys on the team you at least never have to question if he’s giving it all.
